This restaurant has such creative food and lovely service, so what did it do to land itself on a two star status? We absolutely loved the food the chefs produced at this little lovely joint, a few dishes they put together were simply mind blowing in terms of how they fused the flavours and presented them. The service was attentive and friendly. Just when we thought this restaurant is perfect, we are told that they need the table back by 7:45 (we started at 5:45pm), which we didn’t think would be a problem since surely the restaurant would have timed their service so their customers can finish in time for the next seating. It turned out that they had MISCALCULATED the pacing of the dishes and their kitchen was running behind!! They moved us to a less desirable table in a cold draft to free our table for the next booking. Yes, they comped two of our drinks and discounted our bill, but we didn’t understand why they didn’t just seat the other guests at another table. The manager and the waiters repeatedly saying this was the only option without having to “kick us out” made us feel very uncomfortable: would they really have made us leave when we weren’t done yet through no fault of our own? What a shame!! The management team clearly needs some customer training in terms of how deal with unexpected situations like this. We won’t go back and you have been warned.

Always a great time! The staff are always fantastic and accommodating with allergies (walnuts for me). No matter what, we always go the banquet option and it never fails! So nice to try different foods too that I've never had before! Located centrally in Ballarat and right off the main food strip, it's one place that you'll want to try and one that we always recommend to anyone visiting town or friends/family! Also highly recommend the cocktails! 👌🏻

Absolutely delicious food. We wondered why no steak knife with a steak until we cut through with a butter knife...the smoky, char flavour, YUM. We plan on returning until we've sampled the entire menu. Table service from the young lady with a beautiful smile was fantastic, so welcoming. Thank you and to the Chef's too, brilliant talent.

The food was excellent and the service spot on. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartenders make some unique top shelf cocktails. The food from the buffet style course was fantastic, more than I could eat. Louis, the venue manager, was training a new bartender and even though they were slammed and every table full (unexpected and slightly understaffed) everyone took everything in their stride, and Louis still took time to explain what we were eating and was very patient with his trainee. We will return

Wonderfully accommodating, attentive and kind service from Rhys/Reece who was knowledgeable, friendly and a genuine delight to our larger table. Wow, what a wonderful dining experience! This place definitely lives up to its glowing reviews. The food was absolutely sensational. The sticky Pork Hock skewers were just incredible. And the Crying Tiger Wagyu beef salad was also a standout dish. Yum. The staff are all super enthusiastic and fun and definitely add to the whole experience. We were seated at the high tables - it’s a good spot. There are also seats around the bar area too - also would be happy seated there. They do great cocktails! Make sure you book in advance as this place is super popular! Highly recommended.
