Racers Cafe And Bar

What a wonderful location! Right across from the lake and beautiful building. Lots of inside and outdoor tables. The staff were friendly and were doing their best but were overwhelmed by the amount of people. They forgot one of our orders but made it up with a refund. Maybe because there was a concert the night before or just the fine weather. We waited over an hour for our meals which were average. They looked slapped together with lack of attention to detail and flavour. Eggs cooked too much. No garnish or presentation or just poorly prepared. Shame as they were trying their best. I will go back for another try sometime when it’s a bit quieter.

Visiting son, he took us to Racers, so glad he did. Very warm and inviting inside, staff members are friendly and helpful. We ordered the Butter Chicken Curry, very good portions, and very tasty. Also a homemade Sausage Roll, plenty of filling. I ordered the Frittata Slice, served with salad, delicious. We ordered hot chocolates, choc milkshake and a coffee. Samia makes a cracking coffee. Very highly recommend a visit, you can also sit outside and view the Lake.

One of the greatest cafes in Ballarat to sit outside with, especially if it's perfect weather with a warm breeze. My Mum and 5 year old enjoyed iced drinks and the small playground afterwards which is just across the road. It is a really pretty, and colourful cafe across the stunning lake. Wheelchair access. Love it!
