Friendly staff. Decent freshly-cooked seafood. I had the scallops with fries and my friend had fish and chips. The scallops were small but sweet and juicy. I had some coleslaw too and enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean, wasn't busy although several other people ate inside too. Vaccinations records were checked before ordering.

If you're here you like deep fried stuff. And iffin your not but you have a craving for deep fried fish and chips this is that classic northwesty clam place. Serving up all that classic acres of clams goodness. This particular location is always clean and staff is friendly. I keep our classic, get the clam strips every time. My daughter is fan of the salmon, says it stacks up to those fancy restaurants we eat in ever so often. But this is more of the everyday type of joint. While expanding your waistband don't pass on the chowder, it's a northwest classic.

I don’t know why I was expecting a little higher quality or more options, but the place ends up being a seafood version of McDonalds. Friendly service and relatively fast preparation, but the food was just alright. I think my rating reflects my expectations being too high as opposed to anything else. Don’t expect much, and you’ll be happy. The cost was high too considering what you got.

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing experience, can't recommend enough if you want some fish and chips at a great price! I thought all Ivars tasted about the same up until I came to this location. Wow!!! Completely blew all expectations (and competition) out of the water! Crispy, hot, delicious cod fish and chips that were flaky and juicy on the inside and perfectly hot and crispy on the outside, and the fries were delicious too. We also had the Cajun baby shrimp as well as chowder which both tasted great too. They have temporary specials like the rock cod which tasted amazing so be on the lookout for that. Honestly, better fish and chips than some of the ones I've had for double the price in Seattle or downtown Bellevue. Can't go wrong with anything here! Staff were also very friendly and I'm looking forward to coming to this location more if I'm ever craving good fish and chips!

My overall experience was probably more like a 3.5 stars, here's what was good and what could be improved. I enjoyed the true cod fried fish. It was fried well, crispy on the outside and not too oily, and soft and flakey on the inside. The service staff were friendly too and made me feel very welcomed. The batter is light and thin, which normally I don't prefer but it works the best for the small-sized fillets they use. The clam chowder however, left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately I have to say that even campbell's canned version was marginally better. The chowder was a bit too flour-y, lacked flavour, and could do with more ingredients. It's a huge difference compared to say Pike Place Chowder. Similarly, the fries were ok, but I can't write much more about them. I had a decent experience here and will probably be back if I was craving fish and chips, though there aren't many options around. My favorite is still Proper Fish on Bainbridge Island (previously Nosh food truck), but I think that's tough to beat (but it shouldn't be the case!). Judging by the fish alone, I'd have given this at least 4*, but I think the chowder was too much of a miss. I hope they can improve on their chowder and fries, and I'm hoping to be back again to change my review upwards.

I went there Friday June 17th 2022 I spent $12 on a fish sandwich that was dry with a big bun, and a small piece of fish. I had to throw away one of the buns and use the other to wraparound the fish Just so I can taste the fish when I bit into the sandwich. It was terrible, l felt robbed, because l could've spent half that somewhere else, and gotten a better deal, food, & service. I recommend not to eat there, & spend your money on NOTHING.
