The Sparrow Bakery Northwest

What an amazing bakery in such a fun neighborhood of Bend. The smells from outside and especially inside the bakery are quite amazing. There's so many delicious items to choose from. The bagel and lox was enough for two people and one of the best bagel and lox I've ever had. There was plenty of seating on both the patio and on the sidewalk for us with our dogs. We also purchased three loaves of bread and some pretzels to go, all of which were excellent. The cookies were a great size and nice and soft.

I had heard about their signature pastry called the Ocean Scroll, so I had to come and try one. It was so good! Highly recommend. It's made from croissant dough, and then rolled up like a cinnamon roll, but they flavor it with lots of cardamom. It's served warm, and it's kind of dream. Oh, and it's BIG. My son also had a house made bagel with cream cheese and lox and it was tasty. If you're in Bend, definitely look this place up!

Sparrow Bakery really embraces the Bend vibe… everyone is super friendly and provided great customer service, their coffee is great and you HAVE to try the Ocean Roll! They offer so many fantastic pastries and their Sourdough has become a staple in our house. I personally love their Lox Bagel for a savory breakfast option. If you are here visiting, you’ll want to come on in early as the line goes out the door most days; the wait is absolutely worth it!

I had visited Bend three times before I tried this place, but on the fourth visit I had to try it based off of the heap of recommendations I got telling me to try it. And so I did—and so should you. I got the ocean roll and a lemon meringue tart, both of which were textbook quality. The staff were very friendly, adding to the already amazing experience!

Two words. OCEAN. ROLL. You ever take a bite of something and immediately look at it while nodding your head? Yeah, it's that kind of good. What a delicious treat - it's like a cinnamon roll, only better. They use Cardamom which is a spice I never heard of prior. You learn something new every day, and if you are like me, you try something new every day. 🤣 Nice vibes in here and I love that they have an express window outside to the right if you're in a hurry. I used it to get five to go. They weren't all for me though....... or were they? Must try if you are in Bend. Period. -K

Passing through Bend, OR and had to stop at Sparrow's Bakery to get one of their famous Ocean Rolls, which is a slightly sweet cardamon-spiced croissant bun. Enjoyed a hot Cardamon latte with it. Talk about heavenly! Went at lunchtime and it was busy; there was a line but it moved quickly. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even though the place was hopping, they were upbeat, positive and willing to go out of their way to make my visit a great experience. Had the Monsieur Cocque ham and gruyere cheese hot sandwich and of course, bought some goodies to go! All was YUM.

What a lovely little bakery. We ordered the croque monsieur, almond croissant and coffee. I wish the croissant was warmed up, but it was still delicious. The interior is great with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. There was a line when we went, but it moved very quickly. I will definitely be going back and trying more menu items. It would be a great place to work from or just hang.
