Sonic Drive-in

This sonic has a drive thru on one side and the normal sonic drive up car stalls on the other side. There is a little extra parking in the back if you want to park and eat at the picnic tables on their front patio. We pulled into the car stall to order. We had to wait about 7 minutes for our food to come out which is a little longer than I was expecting but it came out hot and fresh. The carhop was friendly. I was happy with our experience and would eat here again.

This is the second time I’ve been to this Sonic post COVID and waited over 20 minutes. I get staffing issues but letting us know somehow would be nice, if that’s the case, sign or something. Both times I had places I needed to be but had already paid for my food in the app and the order cannot be cancelled in the app by me. Today I waited for 15 minutes then finally pushed the red button and waited another 5-10 before pulling away with no food and my money gone.

Never got a chance to see if the food was any good. Went to two separate booths and never got any service then tried to drive through and waited another 10 minutes before deciding that however good the food was it wasn't worth a 20 plus minute wait just to get your order taken and left. I would understand if they were busy but there was only two people on the stalls and one person in the Drive-Thru.. not exactly what I would call packed. Next time I'm in the area I'll give him another shot and we'll see how it goes.

We were there almost 1 hr...and we ordered ahead! We waited in the drive through line for 10 minutes, backed up went into a stall checked in on the app and waited 20 min then we pushed the button and they said "yeeesss...haven't you gotten your order?" My husband told her what happened and she said "oh ok, hold on.." disconnected and after another 15 minutes got our drinks, we checked our drinks and all the ice was melted in 2 ... so 50 minutes later we were able to leave with watered-down drinks.

This is the best sonic that I have ever been to in my entire life. It wasn't busy, so I think that the food was fresh made right when I ordered it. like it should be or I wish it should. This place is usually very quick and great food I usually order the patty melt but this evening I'm very disappointed I waited long enough I figured it would be hot but unfortunately was like it sat for nearly 30 minutes and my onions weren't even grilled that's half the point of a patty melt!
