Napper Tandys

They've changed management/ownership a couple times in the past couple years I've been coming here but it's at its best currently as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes the bar service isn't the fastest but it's because they are often slammed and have trouble keeping up. Food is great as far as dive bar food goes and the pool tables are nice. They have a wraparound bar with a couple of Keno screens and a good amount of TVs with sports running. Parking can be a pain but that's not their fault - worst comes to worst go park in the lot behind 753 South, always spots open there

Nappers is my favorite local bar. Great food... surprisingly better than you might suspect from you average Irish pub, but that is a running theme with Nappers. Staff is great and friendly and they always (well usually) have your favorite team on the TVs and even if they don't they'll typically change it if you ask. Pool tables are just the icing on the cake IMO. Not top quality tables but the cues are good and the atmosphere is what really keeps me coming back.

I may be late to Napper Tandy's but I am still new-ish to the area. I stopped in with friends during a Friday afternoon. Parking outside is not the best but this seems like a nice place to stop for drinks and grub if you're in the area. They even have a pool table (I didn't play). I was pleased with the service and excited to see so many gluten friendly food options at a pub-- Hamburger buns, pizza crust, and pasta all have g-free substitutes. I got to try a burger. Will definitely return to try the other options. In terms of drinks, I wish they had more dry or semisweet cider options (only carried a sweet Citizens on tap). A gluten free beer like Daura or Omission would be a nice addition too. There were only about 10 people total so not sure what the clientele is like during peak times. Today the crowd was very diverse.
