Darbar Restaurant

We had come to the area during August bank Holiday for a wedding and decided to try this place for dinner Chef Ajay helped us choose the food, I ordered bhajia which turned out to be pakora. The chf made fresh Gujurati style bhajia for me , just as my mother made. They were lovely I have Lagan Ka Bhuna Ghost, this too was fabulous Both my wife and I loved the food , its fresh , authentic and delicious. If Ajay had a place in London, I think he would get a lot more customers As a gujurati who loves food, this place is better than most places I have been to anywhere in UK

Truly outstanding especially the food is best in the UK. I was looking for an Indian restaurant (authentic) in Bury. To be honest I did not expect much as UK is full of Bangladeshi restaurants which call it as authentic Indian cuisine with mundane dishes. At Darbar, I got truly warm environment with 100% truly authentic Indian dishes and taste was outstanding. After dinner wanted to see chef who made such a great lamb chop masala. Chef is very humble and well trained in best restaurant. My best wishes

Really nice food, doesn't look great from outside but food is really tasty. Has a nice home cooked taste. Dishes were not too hot although I'm sure you could ask if you like it spicy. Menu is quite limited and the seating area is a little cramped. Every dish we tried was very good, probably helped by the limited menu. Portions were a nice size, didn't feel like I wanted more, but I would say they were smaller than most places. Only dish we felt was not as good as it could be were the popodom, although the dips with them were really nice.

Wish i could give all the stars in universe to this place. Never knew streetfood could be presented so well. Hard to say if the presentation was better or the taste. Great service. Chef Ajay was so professionaland made our meal exactly as we wanted. Butter chicken was awesome. Dont ever miss the platter. Only reason to visit Bury again will be Darbar.

What a little gem of a restaurant!! I'm yet to dine in at this restaurant but have lunch take out every friday and I have to say it's the best, freshest, most authentic Indian food I have ever had, nothing is too much for the owner/chef, fantastic guy who clearly takes pride in what he serves! So good!! Will be making an evening reservation soon.

This place is a hidden rose between thorns the food is based on street food ..... Well if that's street food . I've been eating @#$%$ in these big posh restaurants . The food was I don't lie . Amazing I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a Indian meal as good as that . They do take out too. We're changing . .. serious tho you have to try this place . The owner / chef is a gem he comes over asking if everything is to your satisfaction. And you can tell he really cares. Family coming over soon guess where we are going ...
