Thai @ Mawson

We decided to try somewhere different for a change and we are absolutely disappointed. Not fresh, tasteless, overpriced, duck salad was cold and flavourless and take away meal sizes are beyond small. Steamed rice was more like mash potatoe! I do not recommend this shop to anyone and anyone saying this is the best Thai shop in Canberra, needs to get out more and experience other restaurants. EDIT: We all woke up this morning with food poisoning.

Magical atmosphere! As soon as you walk in the place takes you away. The walls are covered with pictures of wonderful adventures and the music in the back ground gives you a feel of their culture. There are unique decorations and cushions. The place is tiny but the owners still have made the place feel welcoming! The staff are always friendly and have a smile on their face! Their food is the best Thai in Mawson and at a reasonable price. Lunches are about $10 but it's a bit more expensive at night. They also deliver. Like I said it's a wonderful place to visit, although it doesn't look that much on the outside, on the inside it's stunning and their foods delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

A truly family-based quaint traditional Thai restaurant, with that special ambiance and atmosphere that makes you feel like you're eating in Thailand, with equally special traditional Thai food, which is so rare to find in Canberra. No one makes better Pad Thai in Canberra! I'm getting hungry again just writing this review and thinking about it...

Great tasty food and value on the lunch menu, I'll be doing a dinner order in the near future. Even stayed back a few minutes after lunch closing to cook me and my partner a takeaway meal each. A+++ Edit, been back so many times for lunch and dinner and I can't get enough of it, great friendly family resturant. They'll go out of their way for you and all. Nicest people I've ever met. Ignore the 1 star review from the saucy cow down below, I have to ask for a takeaway bag every time too, portions are huge! Even Gordon Ramsey would call her an idiot sandwich.
