Last night we went looking for a place for dinner along the Kingston foreshore and walked straight past 7 By The Lake because there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. But thank god we decided to eat there because the food without doubt is one of the best Indian meals that me and my husband have ever had. The staff were wonderful, they love a chat and the service was fabulous. So if your ever visiting the restaurants along the Kingston foreshore in Canberra, we highly recommend 7 By The Lake..........5 Stars from us :-)

One of my favourite indian restaurants in Canberra now. The food isn't too rich but incredibly flavoursome. They cater for spicy and mild dishes as well as some street food options. I would recommend the Malai Kofta and Chilli Chicken as my two favourite dishes. The dining area is quite spacious with lots of room between tables. We have also gotten takeaway from here a couple of times and the food is well packaged and travels well. The food is very reasonably priced with good meal portions.

Just had a lovely meal at this Indian restaurant on the foreshore. The front of house staff were so warm and welcoming, especially towards our little puppy, Teddy. The menu was varied and there were many dishes you just don’t see available in other Indian restaurants in Canberra. With lovely views, a clean environment, tasty food and great service, why choose anywhere else on the foreshore?
