Chung Hwa Cuisine

The best thing about this place is the lunchtime discount, I would of thought the full price for the meal was fair but then it was discounted further. The cuisine was authentic Chinese cuisine and some dishes were exceptionally tasty while others a little bland. Service was friendly and the food came reasonably quickly. Would recommend this for a lunchtime meal.

Arrived early at six, the restaurant was quite empty at that time, but it was full at seven. Mostly Chinese customers, could tell the taste was quite Chinese. The place is neat and comfortable . The dishes were average. The service was good. Price a bit high for the size of the dishes. I would choose other restaurants for the dishes I had tonight. They serve some special dishes which we didn’t order this time. Might be we had missed their signature dishes.

The food portions were grand in size. The staff were friendly, we were well served and there was the choice of hot and cold water. The food was Chinese/Uighur in taste. Tried the pan fried buns, some large noodle dish and a vege dish. Pan fried buns were served nice and hot with a bit of broth on the inside. The noodles were chewy and was massive in proportion, the veges were fresh and were well season. The only reason problem was that there was a surcharge of 1.5% of using credit card. The biggest bane in Chinese restaurants. The staff lady was however nice enough to provide us a doggy bag for the left over noodles which were delectable.

The Chinese Handmade Ramen tastes quite authentic, however the noodle soup does not worthy for $15, sliced beef was tough and soup stock cannot be less, apparently the noodle has taken all the soup base after 10 minutes which turned into another dish. Xiao Long Bao tastes good and personally think it is better (more authentic) than Authentic Bites Dumpling House in Northbridge, better fillings as overall. The Pork Pan Fried Bao did not come well, I could not take that level of oil at all and I don’t think it has been cooked in the correct authentic way. Overall experience credited to the Xiao Long Bao.
