Cafe Monte French Bakery And Bistro

I really like this place. I had the crab cake on brioche and it was really (the crab cake was a little salty whenever I got bite without the veggies, but it wasn’t enough to impact the sandwich overall) The fries were phenomenal, light, very crispy & not greasy at all! I can’t wait to come back. I want to try their lunch menu, beignets and something from the pastry case next time!

It’s really a 4.5 out of 5! Food was great! My friends and I made a reservation on Open Table and we were promptly seated upon arriving. The atmosphere seemed to cater towards an older crowd (we’re mid-twenties), and seemed like a classic French restaurant. We had short rib poutine to start, and I had duck confit for my entree. Both were incredibly delicious! Our server, is where the half star is deducted. He seemed pretty short with us, and pretty brusque. He wasn’t outright rude by any means, but he did make the table feel like an annoyance.

Got here late in the day, small wait. Sat at the counter. The service was really attentive! Ordered the crab cake Benedict, 2 Nutella crapes, and eggs, bacon and toast. Came out quickly! Poached eggs were perfectly cooked, firm white, soft yolk. The bacon was crispy and thick. The potatoes type pancake was also good. Cappuccino was on point! Over all, a very good experience. I know it charlotte, and prices are steep, but over all, not to damning on the wallet either. Will be back to try lunch options.

Consistently amazing food and service. Southpark staple, one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Update: Finally made it to a dinner service and it was incredible. Lisa is amazing, we’ve dined on two occasions with Lisa as our server and both times everyone from our table commented that she is one of the best servers they’ve ever had. On top of the already great food and atmosphere she makes this place extra special. Also 1/2 cocktails on Thursday’s one of the best deals in Southpark. As well as good prices on wine per glass.

Celebrated my birthday breakfast here. Amazing!!! Everything about it, the food, Christina our server and the atmosphere were incredible. The beignets were delicious, as were the cappuccinos, the quiche and the eggs Benedict. Christina was attentive without being intrusive. It was a wonderful start to my birthday weekend. We are not from Charlotte but the next time we’re there I will go again.
