Yamazaru

The food here is legit, with the fried rice maybe the most impressive to me. They also cook meats very well/appropriately. Is it the best sushi I have ever had? Maybe not. But it is absolutely among the best I have had in this area. What makes it worth the high rating is the value for the ingredient quality you receive and the efficiency of the service. Based on the pricing, there is outstanding value present at this place. The service works like a well oiled machine; they keep the food and drinks flowing, all accompanied with a culture of courtesy. If I lived in the area, this place would be frequented with some type of regularity.

Excellent sushi. We walked in with 10 min to close and they happily fixed our rolls to go, quickly. So fresh and delicious! Would love to have this restaurant local in our home town as we would eat here often. A little pricey but apparently that's normal for Dallas and good sushi. Nice outdoor seating and ambient indoor seating.

WOW!!! This place is simply great. You are greeted quickly, seated quickly, the service in here is phenomenal, from the hosts, to the servers & busboy, to the bar. They’re all great. Food is amazing, the appetizers I had (takoyaki, karaage, scallops) were sooo tasty and piping hot too! The Nabeyaki Udon is perfect, noodles perfectly al dente and the most flavorful broth ever, the Tonkotsu Ramen has the most rich and creamy soup I’ve had in a while. Drinks are awesome too! Jackie made me the best Espresso Martini I had around town, a great and professional bartender. Do not miss on the house specialty martinis! I can’t speak for the sushi as I didn’t have any in this visit, but I can assure you that this place will not disappoint you.

Amazing restaurant overall. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was superb. My girlfriend had her birthday party here, and the staff was accommodatable. We had brought in a cake and they stored it for us until it was time when our friends were here. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food, and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very helpful and kind, as well as funny and joined us for her birthday celebration. We will definitely come here again for the food and overall, the quality of everything that was offered.

On one of our nights out, we wanted some of our favorite foods from a nearby sushi restaurant. When we looked at the menu, we definitely had to go to Yamazaru. Naj loves the Hamachi Kama and Kimchi, we both love grilled squid and shishito, and cocktails of course. We were greeted warmly by the host and our waiter was polite. We had a lovely night eating outside in the pleasant brisk North Carolina air under the bright red umbrellas.
