So the food is good depending on the day though. I wish they were more consistent with all cooks. But when it’s done right, best burger in Charlotte hands down.

food is classic, obviously not award winning but most definitely worth a weekly visit. i just wish they were open late. could be a total late night drive in. the staff are so helpful, especially the black dude with the fedora. Onion Rings and the burgers are fire 🔥👑🙏🏾

Friendly staff and service. Good food. Great variety and cross section of food. Salads 🥗 too.. Daily Specials are reasonable and quite tasty. Heaping amounts.

Great little diner feel. My family and I have been eating at South 21 since I was born, and I still go almost once a week for a good burger and fries. The tarter sauce is a must try you will never find anything that can even come close to how amazing the sauce is. The fried fish is also great, and the portion sizes are great for the price. One of my favorite Charlotte family owned restaurants!

Food is always tasty here. Workers are friendly. Have daily specials and a large menu. There is not a lot of seating. Fried chicken takes a while since it's made fresh to order, It's definitely worth the wait. Excellent onion rings as well.
