Didar Persian Cuisine

Probably my favorite Persian restaurant of the numerous Persian restaurants I have tried in California, east coast, and europe...yes seriously they have the best quality meat and best tasting meats! Hands down the best juiciest tender koubideh, shishlik(individual lollipops of rack of lamb nicely charred), gormeh sabzi, fesenjoon, tahdig that is so nice and crisp but doesnt break your teeth when you bite into it, and their special baghali gatogh which are BABY lima beans with a ton of dill and garlic(ask for some lemon wedges to really bring out the flavor), plus when they aren't busy they toast their baklava so the outside is crisp and the inside is juicy hot! Mmmmmm mmmm. Definitely go on a Monday or Tuesday so you have their full attention. Only thing that is lacking is the appetizers and salads compared to the fancier Persian restaurants which instead offer sabzi for free with a variety of herbs instead of just basil. Plus the fancier places would offer jeweled rices. Come here for the best meats and baby lima beans which I have not found anywhere

Wow this place is yummy! We were greeted at the door by the owner, Sue. She was great, giving recommendations and giving some Persian cultural lessons. I had the special of beef and chicken kabobs with saffron rice. So good! The meat was tender and rich with flavor. My friend had an eggplant dish with a huge bed of saffron rice. Again, delicious and flavorful. The ambience was nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the second time I have eaten here. Both times it's been outstanding! My friend asked me to purchase a Groupon and so we went for an early Dinner. It was spectacular. Clean establishment, super friendly service and very helpful / informative on deciding what to choose and why without being pushy. The Baklava is so fresh it just melts in your mouth. My friend and I are very picky so for us to give a 5 Star rating says a lot. This second time my Husband and I went for a late Lunch and again just loved everything. From the warm welcome, cleanliness, to the beautifully prepared food. Our appetizer the Roasted Eggplant was so decadent. We tried the cold and hot Tea and each loved our version of it. If you go please, take advantage of the knowledgeable host. We thoroughly enjoyed learning details about the carefully hand blended Tea. Between the Lunch Combo Kabob and my Joojeh Kabob we were in heaven. The rice was moist / fluffy, and the meat tender / juicy. I highly recommend Didar to anyone.

I've been eyeing this restaurant for months and finally decided to give it a try today and am glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious and the woman who was assigned to my table was extremely hospitable. Portions are large and are a good value for the price and the food was very tasty. Will be going there again!
