Great American Cookies

Took a women a meet out for our first date at a restaurant down the road (New El Toro) Before going I bought her a happy Valentine’s Day cookie in a card they were promoting for Valentine’s Day. Long story short, the cookie seemed like it was pre-made a day before and she had me try a piece. It was Hard and very thin less then quarter inch, I could since her displeasure with the simple gift. Needless to Say it’s now two days after and she isn’t returning my messages. Try before you buy or you may lose out on someone you really wanted to get to know and learn more about.

I went to this location this evening and was extremely disappointed and down right angry. The employee girl with short black hair and glasses was so rude and just lazy. I asked for one of the icing sandwich cookies. She said “I can’t make those right now.” No explanation, nothing. I explained to her what I wanted, half double choc chip cookie and half snickerdoodle cookie(I thought she might have misheard me) and she said the same thing again. I looked at her confused because those are on the menu and she didn’t say WHY she couldn’t make them. Then she just started grabbing the cookies with attitude and went to make them. But she didn’t make what I asked for. So she angrily tossed them in the trash and made what I originally wanted. If she wouldn’t have walked away while I explaining the first time then she would have known. The other employee girl walked up to the register and I asked her why they “weren’t able to make them right now”. She said that they were able to. Then the other girl chimed in and said “because we have a BIG rush right now”. I looked behind me at the THREE people in line. BIG RUSH?! Honey, if you can’t handle four customers, you need to just leave. I then replied to her, “well, what I ordered is literally on the menu overhead so that’s not my problem.” Horrible customer service. Based off of reading the MANY other 1 star reviews, I suggest hiring better people who offer better service.

Planned on getting a big cookie for a weekend trip we were taking. Just realized the store closes at 7 instead of 9 due to Covid, so I busted over to the mall and walked up to the counter at 6:22. I said I need a big cookie, which incidentally is marketed that the cookie will be done in 15 minutes, and I was informed that they don't have anymore because they are getting ready to close. Well...you have 38 minutes till close and it says on the cookie boxes that they can be ready in 15. What's the problem? Instead of trying to resolve the issue, and make money, the employee had no resolution for us. How about apologizing and perhaps offering some other products that I may be satisfied with since the big cookie is not an option? Very upset!
