Butter And Cream

The hubby and I came here after dinner for a sweet treat. This spot is located in the heart of Decatur. I also am obsessed with ice cream so I was excited to try it out for the first time. Customer service was really good. Our server gave some great recommendations. They have some interesting flavors so I was hesitant however I tried the OG Goodness and it was just that, goodness. I’ll be returning to try out the other flavors!

The smell when you first walk in is sooooooo and I know it's from the waffles. I had the sugar free one and it was still good. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also let you try flavors. Eco-Friendly because the tasting spoons are lil tea spoons. Loved it. The ice cream a lot of flavors. Some you might recognize and some a little more mysterious and daring. I saw strawberry habanero and immediately said no lol. But we ordered the OG goddess IMMEDIATELY YES! My friend got that plus midnight snack, again IMMEDIATELY YES! I will be coming back to this place.

LOCAL DELICIOUS ICE CREAM + GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS Delicious locally sourced and homemade ice cream and treats! They have lots of Gluten-free options which is rare for an ice cream place. We loved their unique flavor options. The Blackberry ginger caramel and the Salted Butterscotch were incredible! The ice cream is creamy and flavorful but not overly sweet! So it made our tasting experience actually refreshing and not overwhelmingly sugary. We LOVE that they used local ingredients and you can tell that everything was prepared with care. Very much worth stopping for dessert after dinner at any of the amazing restaurants in the area.

I give them a strong 5 star! They have one of the best ice creams that you can find in the neighborhood if not in the whole Atlanta area! Not to mention their very friendly and nice employees. I usually go for two scopes (which is more than enough) in a cone and select from "Persian Rose", "OG Goodness", "Honeycomb Forest", or "chocolate". Some flavors might not be available from time to time though!

I’m shocked that this place has such strong reviews. I found their products to be below standards and can definitively say they are not worth their price tag. I had the double brownie sundae. The brownie tasted like dark chocolate and was dry instead of moist and creamy. They heated it but it didn’t help. The butter pecan ice cream on top tasted like plain vanilla. I couldn’t find a single pecan. The toffee topping tasted stale and the whip cream wasn’t any better than the cool whip you buy in the grocery store. It was definitely not worth the $9+. My son had their strawberry ice cream which also didn’t taste great. My daughter had their plain vanilla which also tasted meh. Thankfully my kids aren’t too picky so they ate theirs but mine was so bad, they both thought it tasted gross. The girls behind the counter were nice but honestly, even a chain like Bruster’s is 100% better (and cheaper)!
