Ma T 888 China Bistro

2021 First visit to MA 888 China Bistro. The other Google reviewers were correct. Awesome food. More flavorful than many others. Presentation on plate wonderful. Atmosphere quiet and peaceful with appropriate music. We'll be back again. One fortune 🥠 cookie had fortune, the other was empty 🤷‍♂️. I assume that means that my life is perfect and things will not get better or worse. 😃 2022 update: Food still fantastic. 😋 We WILL come again.

Great atmosphere, traditional Chinese music and delicious food. We went there and order the Royal king. It came with soup and salad,main entry and dessert. For $19 per person. This was a lot of food. We took the main dish home, we enjoyed the salad and soup there. If you go here make sure you skip a meal. 😆 Also they had a cocktail 🍸 special for 6$.🥂

Awful experience. The food was actually decent and if it weren't for the dishonesty I would come back. The price on the menu is incorrect. In the waiting room they have menus out for people to check what they want, and then the prices are far from accurate. Then when we confronted management about the fact that on the menu we saw its price, but on the receipt it was double to triple the price. Her excuse was, well that is the menu from when we first opened, it's not accurate. So what should have been a 50 dollar meal, ended up being over 100. Absolutely ridiculous. By the way, there is no reason you should charge 9 dollars for a small piece of cheesecake on your dessert menu. It's not even homemade it's bought. When you charge the same price for a very small piece as what you paid for the whole pie, it's concerning. And by the way, we also ordered a strawberry delight which was supposed to be 3 dollars on the menu ending up being 6 dollars. It was just whipped cream with maybe cake mix mixed in, frozen and some strawberry syrup dripped on top. If it wasn't for the ridiculously high prices, and extreme dishonesty, I may have come back, but from my experience, I will never return.

Well what a let down. Built up wife to best Chinese food in town.... 30 minute wait in empty restaurant. Waitress was rationing sauce and sweetners 4 for 2 adult teas. Had to ask for more each time. Small glasses of tea to make it worse. Ordered Generals chicken and got sweet sour or orange chicken. Listed as spicy but super sweet. Garlic chicken overrun with onion and still no taste. I know this owner and the restaurant was not like this in the beginning. This was my last trip. What a bust. Only thing good was crab Rangoon appetizers. Sad day. Sorry Jane I will not return for poor food and service.

Crab Rangoon was good, but no crab in it. There was green onion in it. Pork spring rolls not my favorite. Something in the pork seasoning that I didn't care for. Shrimp fried rice was good. Plenty of shrimp. Customer service was good. Very friendly and nice. Nice smile. The wait was average. My friends recommended this restaurant.

I went into this restaurant with pretty good expectations (due to positive reviews). And boi could they have been any more right. Everything about this place was amazing. ✅ Service- Our server was great and very kind and helpful. ✅ Atmosphere- the booths were very comfortable and provided good privacy. ✅ Food- extremely tasty, nothing was less than perfect, servings were very large and decadent. We brought home a whole nother meal for the next day. ✅ All around experience- Excellent, no issues from me. Highly recommend this place for good Chinese food, the best in Evansville.

My friend Ashley and I went yesterday or a late lunch and, it was the first time that either of us had ever been there. It is a large fancy-looking restaurant but, it was mostly empty. There was only two other tables occupied in the whole place, along with us. Our hostess/server was a beautiful Asian woman who looked like she could be a secret agent/spy/assassin. Not that there's anything wrong with that. She was very friendly and helpful when it came to the menu. We both decided on the Royal Queen meal. For $15 per person (two people minimum) you got pork spring rolls for an appetizer, your choice of egg drop soup or hot and sour soup, and your choice of one entree per person: Eight Treasure Delight (an all-vegetable meal), Emerald Jade Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Shrimp with Vegetables, Spicy Garlic Pork or, Sweet & Sour Chicken. The meal also came with a dessert: Strawberry Cream Delight. My friend Ashley ordered the hot and sour soup and the spicy garlic pork and, got a house salad, as well. I ordered the egg drop soup and the sweet & sour chicken. We also ordered a plate of crab rangoon (4 pieces for $5.00). The egg drop soup was the absolute best egg drop soup I have ever had! The crab rangoon was the absolute best crab Rangoon I have ever had! The sweet & sour chicken and fried rice was really, really good! I loved it! And the strawberry cream delight was a creamy, delicious dessert! For such a fancy-looking place, the food there is surprisingly affordable. We will definitely go back again, sometime. I Do highly recommend Ma t 888 China Bistro.
