Not much has changed since it changed its name from Star. The place was pretty empty for Sunday lunch. We ordered soup and sandwiches and they were just Okay. The wait staff was very friendly and pleasant. The decor and atmosphere is nothing lively as in most shopping malls nowadays. It will be a while before we visit the place again.

The Red Star Craft House has a ton of beers on tap. So if you're looking for a beer on tap this is definitely the place to go. They have a lot of TVs for sports watching. The staff seem to be very polite. I had avocado fries for an appetizer and they were just amazing. For an entree I had short ribs sweet potato mash and brussel sprouts that were okay.

I used to like this place a couple years ago when I first tried it, but I've been less impressed with each visit since. The service is usually decent but the food has become barely average. The Buffalo chicken sandwich and grilled cheese were both very ordinary and didn't have much flavor. And the bacon on the grilled cheese was extremely low quality and was undercooked and rather nasty. The side salads are big, though, and the beer is great. But I'm probably done and don't see myself going back any time soon.

Great staff and really good food. It's not your typical "bar food" quality, it's much more upscale. They have a great rotating variety of drafts and the decor is stylish and unique. Their food menu includes your normal staples like wings and burgers, but extends to full entrees like a salmon filet over a salad and a huge hummus plate with multiple flavors to excite your pallet!

Never going back here! Service was great, but this place is overpriced for the quality and quantity of what they serve in food and drink. My husband got a Moscow Mule which was $10 for a smaller than average mule mug. We had the calamari as an app and 3/4 of the bowl was filled with shredded slaw underneath, which was irritating because the calamari was good. My husband got the pepperoni pizza which he liked and I got the “crispy” chicken salad which was disappointing to say the least. First of all I had to cut a few pieces of whole bib lettuce, which I guess they thought looked nice? I just saw it as work. Most irritating to me was that the chicken wasn’t even crispy..infact it was barely breaded at all. In general the salad was pretty small as well. You don’t get the bang for your buck or even what you ordered here, but you will get ripped off.

Sophia was the bartender and she was great. Other than that, awful. My girlfriend and myself ordered beers which came out flat. The food was the worst part. It came out cold and the slaw that came out with my chicken and waffles was brown. My girlfriend ordered a side salad which they never brought out. Thankfully Sophia took that off the bill. We should of questioned this place when we first walked in when it was half dead on a Saturday night. We went to the pour house across the street shortly after and there was a 25 minute wait for a table for 2. Not to mention my girlfriend had been here a few times in the past when it was Redstar and it was terrible then as well. It had potential but it must do much better.

The food is good and the beer menu constantly rotates good craft beer. Service seems hit or miss unfortunately. One on visit, great waitress: attentive without being intrusive. One another visit, we could hardly find our waitress, and often our glasses were empty and we had to wait to order another drink.

I want to love this place because of the location, beer, atmosphere, and outdoor dining. Unfortunately the food is not getting any better than when they first opened. They have good apps and hopefully will pick things up before their competitors beat them out. The staff is great and they run the restaurant smoothly but the food is missing. Great potential here if they can make some smart changes. Their menu has changed since they have opened but the food quality/taste has not.
