Zoup!

Absolutely the best kept secret in Frederick. Have the best selection and sizes of soup, salad and sandwiches at a very reasonable price for lunch. The customer service is outstanding, professional, courteous and extremely friendly. The health and safety practices are above expectations. Must try when visiting the Francis Scott Key Mall area.

First and foremost, good food. The zoups (soups) are hearty, served hot, and served fast. Customer service was very friendly. The server behind the counter seemed eager to introduce me to their brand and offered me a tasting of any and all soups I wished to try. About half of their soups are permanently on menu, and delicious. These include fire-roasted tomato bisque, lobster bisque, and traditional chicken noodle, among others. They also keep a rotation of about half a dozen soups including (currently) a burger-cheeseburger soup. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is the clever marketing. They offer a "Try 2" option, as most places like this do, and when I asked what the "deal" was I was told it saves you money. But if you look at the menu, the items under the "Try 2" column are 8oz. yet they are considerably more pricy than half the 16oz size. That is at best misleading. All in all I would eat here again without question, flavorful and hot food, good service, and convenient.

Similar vibes to Panera but more geared towards soups. They let you sample their wide variety of soups. I got the chicken pot pie soup which was good and sampled the Italian wedding soup which was also good. I also ordered the southwest turkey sandwich which was okay but you can tell sandwiches are more of a secondary item for this restaurant. Would recommend if you’re craving soup but not sure what kind

This was our first visit. We arrived 10 minutes before closing, which we didn’t realize at the time. The young lady working was very rotten to my husband and I. We had eye rolls and glaring stares while grabbing sharp utensils coming from her, which was very unpleasant to experience. I realize we arrived near closing but nobody should act that way towards others especially for having to do their job. On the other hand, the young man working was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed to take our food to-go. All-in-all the food was good and the young man made up for what the young lady was lacking. However, I strongly suggest the owners of this establishment to check up on this young ladies mental health and fitness to perform her job. She could be dangerous to customers and possibly herself. Edit: Thank you for the response from ZOUP!. However, this review was written July 24, 2021. Not sure why it would look like it was written in December unless someone else wrote a similar review.

First time visiting Zoup! I know they just recently opened. Food was tasty, I ordered the southwest turkey sandwich and a bowl of chili. My issue is where's the turkey? Two giant peices of bread and only 2 slices of turkey meat in each half? All you could taste was the bread. Which was good by the way. The biggest disappointment was the price. Why on earth should a sandwich, a bowl of soup, and a fountain drink cost just shy of $20? See the picture below. This place is definitely not family friendly at that price. I would probably not visit again. There are many other options in the area that offer similiar eats and a better value!
