Akkad Restaurant

The food taste good and they have traditional Mediterranean dishes. The food tends to be full of fat especially the beef. My problem is with the customer service and the restaurant atmosphere. I set on the table without knowing that i have to place the order in the cashier first and yet they did not bother themselves to advice me. After ordering the food, they did not come even once to ask if we need anything. I order four main courses and they brought 1 bread and i was forced to request them more bread twice (leaving the table to request).

Food here was good. Barbecue looked yummy. They have a common Middle Eastern/Arab dish called Ouze but they make it with an Iraqi flare. The lamb shank was really good. The meat fell of the bone. My dog enjoyed cleaning the bone off as well. The rice was phenomenal with the stuff that was added to it. Nuts, raisins and such. It was a bit too oily at the bottom though. I didn’t like the white beans too much but the hummus made up for that. Good experience overall.

Great food, good atmosphere and super clean. We ordered the shawarma, kabab and falafel. The shawrma is exceptionally delicious and by far the best I've ever had in North America! The Falafel was freshly made and fried it can tell from the taste. The staff is super welcoming and very nice to deal with

An Iraqi restaurant with professionally cooked Iraqi and other Mediterranean dishes. If you want to taste the real Iraqi Kebab, you should go there! The Shawarma is one of the best in LA. They just need to work more on the decoration and sometimes there’s an unpleasant smell when you enter the place. The staff are friendly, they’re nice people. Although there are few Iraqi restaurants around LA, this one is a wonderful option!
