Firehouse Cafe

This place was good. We got the chicken fried steak and eggs and also the loaded omelette. Both were really good. Needed salt and pepper though. The homemade biscuits were delicious. As we were leaving we saw these really big cinnamon rolls. I wish I had seen them before I ordered food. Definitely would have ordered one if I could eat anymore food. The portions are huge, you get so much food. The place was pretty crowded when we went though. It was a Monday after 8 am.

We stumbled on this place because we had a trailer and needed parking space. I'm glad we did! The chicken fried steak was exceptional! The fresh cut fries were a hit with everyone, and even my bowl of corn, which is mediocre at most restaurants, was excellent! Everyone got full, and the price was reasonable! We will definitely be back, and I will bring them a FF T shirt from my work next time, so they can add it to their wall.

My wife and I stopped by to eat here after hearing from many locals that this place was great for breakfast. It was an inspirational location that honors firefighters and local law enforcement, and the food here was not only great in size but great in price! Most other places would charge double, perhaps triple but here the price is very homely and affordable. With Texas customer service, you are served as if you were home.

First time here. I have heard it was a good place to go, so we went to try it out. I was going to get a breakfast for lunch but decided to go with the stuffed bell pepper. Explained to me it would have meat, rice, maybe some rotel style veggies, and a little marinara sauce and cheese on top. Upon arrival to the table, it was 1/2 a bell pepper completely SUBMERGED in marinara sauce and LOTS of cheese melted on top. There was so much red sauce, I seriously thought I needed pasta to put in it. The bell pepper was totally engulfed in this sauce, to the point I thought maybe they were trying to hide the dish. I had to spoon out a heap of sauce to get to the rest of the dish. After a few bites, I thought it was indeed to hide the dish because the bell pepper had an unusual taste. I forced myself to eat about half. I have regretted it since. I will not return to this restaurant.
