El Mexicano Inn

This is the first time ordering here. We ordered two entrees and a large white dip to go and the total was $42 which I thought was high. The dip was good. Our chicken in the entrees was disgusting. It was so dry and had that old reheated dried out chicken taste. I called and spoke to a man who didn't care at all. He told me they cook their chicken everyday and he has lots of plates with chicken. He hung up on me. We won't be back.

Food was fine... HOWEVER... we received a small basket of chips fairly quickly. Exactly 1 hour later we received WATER. About 5 minutes later, we received the drinks that we had ordered upon arrival of the chips. About 20 minutes later, we received dinner. No explanations. No apologies. Restau was full but not crowded. Might give it another try; might not.

Festive / relaxing atmosphere. The Best Service!! Food was delicious. Peach Margarita was worth ordering 2 of them.Virgin Pina Colda was awesome. Definitely can't wait to go back. Cheese dip - yummy. Chicken quesadillas were delicious. Warm Chips & Fresh Salsa were complimentary. So much to choose from on the menu.

We wanted to try this place after they won the best Mexican Restaurant award recently. Finally we were in the area and got the chance & it was awful! The guacamole says it's fresh made but it was brought to the table almost instantly & was a small dish of ice cold pre-made guacamole. The steak in the fajitas was very tough & the veggies were barely cooked, still crunchy. The chicken in the taco & the quesodilla was so dried out & tasted freezerburnt. We basically paid $9 for a side of rice & sour cream because we only took 2 bites of the quesadila. When we tried to explain to our server he said oh no our chicken is made fresh every morning & we have already sold several orders, basically telling us we were wrong. We frequently dine at Mexican Restaurants around the coast & this was by far the worst we have been to
