We ordered the fruit cake as our wedding cake back in September. As part of our consultation, we were shown different designs and allowed to mix and match elements across the different designs. We chose a cake with ribbon and flowers, and were asked to bring our materials to the bakery ahead of the wedding. We chose some fairly cheap fake flowers, and I can't believe how beautiful the bakery was able to make them look! Not only was our cake gorgeous, but it was also fresh and delicious. The delivery to our venue also went smoothly.

I walked in to get a birthday fruitcake for a family member 08/13 and they had one left on the shelf. The frosting was good but the fruit was stale and the cake was soggy and tasted bad. People drove an hour to celebrate with us but were disappointed. We did buy some pastries which was good and the staff were pleasant but the cake was awful. First time patronizing them based on a coworker referral but will not be buying cakes from them again. Thank goodness we had some pies for dessert, would've been a total disaster!

First time back here in years and it is still the same - wonderful and delicious! Got our cannolis, pizza and spinach pie. Can't wait to go back!

Sad first time experience. I didn't bother reading reviews like I normally do.
Chocolate chip cookie is stale.
The apple and pineapple Danish are dry. No moisture at all. Not pull apart like.
The Chocolate almond cookie is almost like a rock, unless it's supposed to be a crunchy dry crumble texture.
The lemon cookie is stale and almost crunchy.
The sugar cookie with colorful sprinkles in the middle is also strange flavored and dry.
Sugar almond cookies are delicious and perfect.
French cannoli was perfect.
The ricotta filled Danish is exactly how a Danish should be. Soft and pull apart easy... Perfect.
I wouldn't know when I'd be able to go back and let them know I had an issue. I'm an hour away for now and unless I have a chance before Texas, I guess we lose our money?
It's end of day, cases are fully stocked....to me that doesn't seem like much sold.....and now I think that explains the stale cookies and very dry pastries I bought. :-(

Incredible bakery! I got a slice of the peach and strawberry (cream) cake. Oh, my goodness- it was terrific. All of the ingredients complimented each other perfectly.

An absolute wonderland of edible art. This is the real deal bakery. Everything looks incredible. And they have a sweet treat for everyone. The selection is outstanding. Second to none. From on the spot, made to order cannolis, from scratch, to the staple brownies with walnuts. And they understand when you ask for the corner piece of something. A trait lost on most other bakeries.
Go during a storm, it may be your only shot at getting all of everything that you want.

This is a lovely place to go with my Dad. The music, the atmosphere, the deserts and the cappuccino brought us back the Sunday afternoons with our family. The service was wonderful we're looking forward to going again.

In the past I had a few orders with Mozzicato Bakery on 329 Franklin Ave Hartford and all cakes were delicious. However, on June 15 2019 I ordered a birthday cake, 25 servings and vanilla flavor. I was so disappointed. I got even more upset when I spoke with the store manager (Gina).
1- the bottom of the cake was soaked in syrup and fell apart. I am not able to cut into pieces nicely.
2-there is a big piece of baking paper left in between two layers. I guess they baked 2 cakes and stacked them but forgot the take out the baking paper
3-there is one hair found in the cake
Below is the answer from the store manager, her name is Gina (I think)
1- that is how we make the cake.
2-no explanation
3-it is not hair it is from the brush
it ruined my kid's bd. I had no choice but threw the entire cake in the trash. kids don't eat cake that fell apart and wet. I called the store 2 days later June 17. Gina asked me why I didn't bring the cake back. I told her I threw the cake away but I took some photos. I was on vacation one week after our phone conversation so that I could not be able to send the photos right away but 8 days later and requested a fund refund to the original payment type. Gina replied ' We were expecting this as agreed immediately after our communication by phone a few weeks ago'. She thought 8 days later is 'a few weeks ago'. She offered me a $25 gift certificate but that is not what I want.
The store (Gina) does not care about the customer satisfaction especially a returning customer like me . I was really shocked how they handled my dissatisfaction. I would never go back to the store and I told all my families and friends not to.
