I have never been to Louisiana so I can speak to the authenticity, but I can certainly say that Yats has some of the best grub in Indy. All the dishes are brimming with flavor (not just hot for the sake of hot). Th Maque Choux is one of my favorite dishes on earth for real. If your sweet tooth is calling for for a treat after a belly full, the cookies and peanut butter pie are exquisite as well. Did I mention that for twenty (maybe) years I've been coming here and never had poor service?! The faces may have changed but the friendly atmosphere seems to only get better.

The people are so nice, and amazing they really get to know you and every time I come in they always remember who I am and the food is always delicious. Have never ever had a problem.

Upon walking in, the smell of good food greets you at the door. I got a togo order of the crawfish etouffee and the red bean with sausage. The etouffee reminds me of my trip to New Orleans some years back, yummy. Tasting the food is like eating in a southern mama's kitchen- hearty and delicious. Plus the food is reasonably priced.

First time and pleasantly surprised! The chili cheese étouffée is some of the best I’ve ever had! And you get a great meal that fills you up for less than cost of a fast food meal deal nowadays. I will definitely be back!

Yats is a great change of pace for me. I have tried several dishes and enjoyed them all. Make sure you get extra bread with your order you won’t regret it. Good Cajun is hard to find in Indy but Yats hits the mark.

Not a big menu selection, and it does rotate. They will give you a small sample to figure out what you want. Food was served fast and it is so good. Did not disappoint. Look forward to going again next time I'm in Indy.

We had a great time eating here! It is such a good location and the staff was really nice. The nice lady at the counter gave us suggestions for our food. We are glad we got extra garlic bread (it is so good!!!)! We enjoyed it all. The prices are great, too. Can’t wait to go back!

Really good food and passionate staff to explain things to us. We ordered the lunch box with half half (i.e. two flavors of food on top of rice with two breads). We enjoyed drunken chicken and chili cheese. The bread was also very soft and good with both curry and onion/cheese. Highly recommended for a relaxing take-our lunch during COVID time.
