This place was fantastic! I went here with my father as we were celebrating my birthday. First off, the food was fantastic! We got a dinner for two meal which had an assortment of different dishes. The owners were the only ones working and they treated us like family. Super nice people! Also, don't forget to try the coffee when you are here. It is a must! I hope to enjoy this place for many years to come!

Best Ethiopian restaurant in Indianapolis. Colorful, tasty, and unique. The service is amazing and the coffee is out of this world. Totally worth it!

Craved for an Ethiopian cuisine during the pandemic to try different food outside. Referred by my friend to go for it. Wowieee!!! Excellent plate of meal served like lovely home made food explaining their culture and traditions. ( dine in in same plate as a family ). Family owned restaurant with individual cabin arrangements depicting and portraying the authenticity. Not just a restaurant but also a place to shop ornaments and show casing jewelry. Most importantly the birth place of ☕️ coffee. Deliberately understanding the widespread cultural diversity.

What a fantastic place. We opted for the meat/seafood option with 4 veggie dishes included. The food was fantastic but even better the owner was so very kind and taught us so much about Ethiopian cuisine (we were first timers). The food was grear but it didn’t just feel like a restaurant, it felt like an entire experience with a warm and inviting atmosphere that just felt so wholesome. Will definitely return.

St. Yared is a great spot in the Geist area of Fishers, especially if you want to go vegetarian for the day. I've had Ethiopian a few times - Keren Cafe in D.C. being the first. People are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Of note, if you don't like spice don't get the spicy dishes here - I like spice and while the dishes tingle the mouth for me, it'll be too hot for those that can't handle a little heat. Things I had: ➡️ Coffee - smooth, not bitter or sour, and you can faintly get some of the tasting notes outlined in the menu ➡️ Sambusa - dough is thin and crispy, not too oily, and the Silsi sauce is spicy magic ➡️ Vegetarian Combo for One - lentils, split peas, cabbage, collard greens, and potatoes and carrots were all cooked and seasoned well

What an amazing place to eat! My wife and I had been there just for coffee before but it is so special to eat here. Bring a loved one and enjoy a quiet atmosphere with possibly the most gracious host you will ever meet. Be ready to try new exciting flavors and eating with your hands! Try it, you will not regret learning a little bit about Ethiopia.

Incredibly nice and humble staff. Beautiful decorations throughout the place. I just stopped in for some coffee but will definitely be back to try some of their food. Highlay and his wife are great people. Thank you for the coffee folks! It was delicious! I’ll see you again soon. 🙂👍

Excellent food. Lots of options (especially vegetarian ones). The platter is very filling and is value-worthy if you are visiting as a group. The staff is very friendly, and the owner visits the table a few times for friendly conversations. Very interesting decor all around.

St. Yareds has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. I love the delicious, natural foods, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The owner is a joy to talk with and loves to share his culture with you. If you want an unique experience that you will be talking about for months, check them out!
