Working Man's Friend Tavern

Nice place to have some good burgers! I ordered their popular double cheeseburger and fries that tasted really good. I also added grilled chicken to my order though the chicken was not as tasty as their burger. The staff there are really friendly. The place was all packed and lively. Will definitely go there again!

Workingman's Friend Rating: 4.3 stars/5 Pros: Simple, humble, honest working-man food. They don't try to be something they aren't. One of the best smashburgers I've ever had. Cons: Wait staff was overworked and barely checked in on me. The fries were just average, and they only take cash. Did you spend all day grunting as you moved heavy things around? Do you use beard oil that smells like rich mahogany and supple leather? Haven't showered in 3 days? Is the foul concoction of your own man-sweat mixed with sawdust making you delirious? Who cares! The folks at Working Man's Friend sure don't. Come as you are, just off the job site and hungry! Leave your snobby white collar buddies behind and enjoy a good, old-fashioned smash burger and fries. There's a reason this place is so popular. They have stuck to tried and true principles, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Simple menu and humble interior that looks like it hasn't changed in at least 3 decades. I can almost picture my own dad getting off work and heading here to eat back in the 80's.

Finally tried the award winning burgers at Working Man's Friend, and I wasn't disappointed. Great char flavor on a smash burger style thin patty. Fries were nice and crispy. Menu is limited. Service was good. Facility is definitely rundown. Cash only! Will I be back? Definitely. I want to try the tenderloin next time.

After hearing so much about the burgers we had to give it a try. Fantastic! They had deliciously crispy meat edges and since we had a double there was a slice of bun between the Patties soaking up the grease. What a fun surprise! The ambiance was so cool and our server was a delight. You could tell she has been there a long time… she knew what she was doing and did it well!

Bring your cash, they’d don’t take cards. The menu is brief but delicious. The burgers are fried to perfection. The place is always packed and it looks like it could fall down around you but it never disappoints. Parking is at a premium so be courteous when you claim your spot. The parking lot is not paved or marked.
