Coal Yard Coffee

A good place to get coffee in/near Irvington. Very cool interior with a large roasting machine inside. The drinks are made well and the baristas haven't fumbled the process of making a latte resulting in a bitter drink; always sweet and nutty. I would prefer to see more seating inside for the colder months or customers who didn't want to sit outside. The lack of tables inside made it feel a bit awkward ordering when the weather is poor, but interesting decor can keep you busy.

LOVE this coffee shop. Unique describes Coal Yard Coffee. The service is wonderful as well as the Baristas that greet you. Excellent coffee and food. Its not just a place you come and go ....unless of course you want too. 😁😁😁 There are many options to sit that are comfort areas of what ever you may be looking for. I love the woodstove area. Lovely around this time of year. However many i seen also sit outside and chat too. This seems to be a favorite of many....I know since discovering it is a favorite of mine. If you like Art...they display art on their walls. The artist that has art on display is Unique in his art as well. Very fitting ...right. 😁😁😁 You get a chance ask the manager the history on the Coal Yard Coffee. I hope they add back having art Galleries again. All I seen enter your place in every time I have been here may come in with a frown but they all seem at peace when they leave or if they choose to stay and enjoy. Your give light to their day. 💫🌞💫

As someone with a dairy allergy, I have a high appreciation for Coal Yard Coffee because they offer coconut, almond, and oat milk. Unlike many other coffee shops, Coal Yard Coffee doesn’t charge an arm and a leg to those of us needing to substitute to a dairy alternative. Additionally, I like they are also inclusive to other dietary restrictions by offering multiple sugar free syrups. Coal Yard Coffee is consistent at making quality, flavorful drinks. They also have a very friendly staff who make the experience even more welcoming.

Love this place!! We were down in Indy for a conference and was looking for a good coffee shop instead of chain company. This was it! Made sure to stop before we left town for a second time and it was just as great as the first. Great atmosphere, great service, and best coffee I have ever had. Will make this place a stop every time I am in the area.
