Waffle House

I think it is so funny how everyone is talking about prices. Look at a regular menu and a to go menu at any place and they charge Togo prices they just don’t tell you like Wafflehouse does… everyone says oh hey we tip on to his but half of you don’t and sometimes they just have one person doing to gos only. The servers only make 2.25 an hour did you know that??? Probably not. They work just as hard to make sure you have everything in your bags so when you get home you can enjoy your food.. not to mention they get taxed on your 20% which they only receive 10%… so if you pay 12.00 they get 1.20. Is that enough for you to live on??? Also covid is still a thing please let them clean your tables off before you sit down they do care enough about you to ask you to wait to sit down. The servers in the morning move with purpose they work hard and fast to make sure you get what you want. They are not mind readers either if you need or want something just tell them… I think this Waffle House is amazing.. 10/10… please tip your servers….

I don’t get the bad reviews of this place. Been here a bunch of times and the staff is friendly, the food comes out quick and delicious, and there’s a good vibe. Yeah it’s small and gets crowded, but that’s just Waffle House. It’s in a bad part of town so they close at night, which is understandable. Some people who’ve left reviews apparently want something a lot fancier at budget prices. Just felt like sticking up for the good people who work at the Pendleton Pike Waffle House!

A friend and I ate lunch at Waffle House #1779 in Lawrence, Indiana on our way to North Carolina. Everything about this particular Waffle House was first rate. The food was delicious, as is the standard for most Waffle Houses. The service was exceptional. All the staff was exceedingly professional, efficient, and mostly, very pleasant . They seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. I routinely eat at different Waffle House restaurants during my travels. This one is one of the very best I have been to. I highly recommend this particular Waffle House to anyone in its vicinity. I feel confident that you won't be disappointed.
