Simply Southern Soul Food

Today me, my sisters and niece decided to have are Mother's Day dinner there. My sisters been here before but not me. I was raised on Soul Food and can cook my butt off. First off customer service was amazing. I ordered the smothered pork chops, dressing, mac n cheese and cake with pineapples and coconut in it. My drink was ice tea but I poured that out because that didn't taste good so I got Kool aid (fruit punch) and baby it's was fire. I sat down and started to eat and when I tell you everything on my plate was good it was good good. The pork chops was so tender and the dressing was just right. I don't know who grandma or grandpa back there cooking but I want to thank them. I had so much food left I can't wait to eat it later on. Now the guy that was serving me said I was going to love it and I was like I'll be the judge of that because I'm a cook and baby he was right I had to go back up there and tell him how good the food was. I've been in Indianapolis since 2016, I'm from Milwaukee and I was raised in Mississippi so I know all to well about good Soul Food and this place is it. I've been to other Soul Food places here and left disappointed. Thanks for a great experience, great service and great food. Next time I'm bringing my kids.

The food is absolutely delicious!!! Traveling from IL to Indianapolis for a Cheer Competition, my family had a big appetite!!! The Customer Service was amazing! It gives me that Southern hospitality feeling!! The baked chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans was really good!!! It's definitely a taste back from home!! You will not be disappointed!!! Thank you again for having us!!

This place might have the BEST soul food in Indianapolis! Most of the food is served cafeteria style unless you're getting something fried (they fry to order). Their food tastes like homemade. Their dressing tastes almost identical to my family's recipe. They have a lot of excellent choices. Several cakes/pies to choose from. Most people get their food take-out here, but since I live an hour away, I always dine in. The food is served on styrofoam, but that doesn't negatively affect the quality of the food. Definitely give this place a try! You won't be disappointed. My recommended items to try are: collard greens, cornbread dressing, deviled eggs, fried pork chops and yams. I could go on, but you just have to see for yourself!
