Green Ghost Tacos

I stumbled upon this awesome restaurant during my visit to Jackson, Mississippi. I ordered the red fish tacos and they were delicious and seasoned to perfection! The customer service is outstanding and the orders are prepared very quickly. Additionally, the cost of the food is very reasonable! We were staying across the street at the Homewood Suites Hilton hotel and enjoyed the food so much that we went back two nights in a row for dinner! That in itself speaks volumes! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Jackson, Mississippi!

I got a taco salad for lunch and it was decent!!! Pic below 👇 service was fast my to go order was ready when I arrived. The only thing to me was the place is kind of small and no employees had on a mask. I was uncomfortable waiting to pay for my food and we was so close to together and no one had a mask on.

So me and bae went here last night. Never been before but as soon as I walked in I should have known my experience was going to be mediocre. The music was loud and very hard core I mean I don’t mind some good music but Kevin gates isn’t an artist I would be playing on 100. Then the waiter I had was nice but lacking a little customer service.bottom line. I ordered a steak fajita but it was a Philly Cheese in Burrito form. One side had nothing but meat, beans and onions. By the way one sis had Philly cheese meat and the other side had steak nd everything it said on menu that came in it. What a great way to rip a customer off!!! Yes I ate it but was not pleased. Management please get your staff together and the food.. first and last time I will spend any money there!

So. Freaking. Good. Great atmosphere, great AUTHENTIC food, GREAT staff. We stopped in for a late lunch and our waitresses hooked us up with some great happy hour deals. She was super awesome and even gave us a bunch of tips on what do and places to visit while we were in Jackson for a quick visit. If we ever find our way back, Green Ghost Tacos will be at the top of the list of places to go.

I was pleasantly surprised to find GOOD tacos in Jackson. I was having a bad trip to the university medical center when it was lunchtime and I found Green Ghost Tacos right next to me. I LOVE GOOD TACOS. They did not disappoint. The Birria tacos were big and packed with flavor. I also added a couple traditional tacos to switch it up, another hit. Their handmade green corn tortillas are a nice touch. But the steak was cooked well and I got the pastor which was delicious. I'm definitely going back for more. Might have to explore the menu a bit and update this review...but it's already a must go to spot in Jackson MS as far as this Texas boy is concerned.

Mexican food on Cinco De Mayo?!?!?! We are accountable for the choices we make, but accepted the fact that it would be busy and the service slow. Well, busy was an understatement, but we found a table for 4 adults and 3 kids quickly. Our table was cleaned, chips & salsa served right away. Our waitress came along a few minutes later, she was very nice, took our order for food first to expedite us and came back with water for everyone. The food was served not too long after and to our surprise, everything was correct, hot and tasted great. The experience surpassed our expectations! When all done, we stepped out to make room for other guests and my friend went to pay at the counter. 10 minutes went by, and no sign of him. I went in to check and he was standing by the counter with a weird look on his face. Our bill was $123 with a 20% included tip due to the size of our party, it should have been $70. He was not given a detailed check, just realized the amount when his credit card was run and was handed the receipt to sign. He asked the waitress for a detailed receipt and she disappeared. She came back a few minutes after my arrival and said that the bill had $37 worth of alcohol that she needed to remove, and said she will be back to fix it. A few minutes go by again, long enough for us to go looking for her and request a manager to help resolve this situation. We found both and our waitress quickly told the manager that she got it handled and asked my friend for his credit card for a refund. She came back with a credit receipt of $37 but without a detailed check. We requested that again and she was able to quickly print it out, handed it to us and left. Sure enough, there was $16 of food on the check that we did not order, we waited till she came back and she quickly confirmed that we were correct, that we did not order the extra food, she asked for the credit card again and refunded the difference. All in all 30 minutes of waiting to resolve this. The question I raise here, is this an establishment practice on a busy night with many patrons having one too many drinks and would have not checked the receipt? If it was not for the $37 extra in alcohol, my friend admitted that he would have not checked and found the $16 in extra food...just food for thought.
