Fresh Air Bar-b-que

I went to this restaurant on the advice of a review that said it was voted best BBQ in Georgia. To be fair it does not say what year this alleged vote occurred, but my guess is a very long time ago. We drove an hour to the restaurant and when we arrived there was a line of seven people ahead of us. We discovered the dine in option had been stopped due to COVID. I ordered the big meal hoping to sample a lot of different things. Upon opening box, I was severely dismayed that the entire BBQ meal could be consumed with a straw. I mean everything was pureed, including the pork and the Brunswick stew. That could have been overlooked it the food was great. Unfortunately it was not. It seemed to me that the puree process stripped the food of it's flavor. This was true for both the meat and the stew. To say I was disappointed is a major understatement. The smell of the pork being BBQed when you walk up to the restaurant really sets your expectorations high, which makes the reality of the result provided to you extremely disappointing. Well, at least it did for me. I do not recommend.

Went on Labor day. First experience there. They have an extremely limited menu, basically bbq pulled pork and a few sides. Pork was excellent, moist, great flavor. Sauce on the side neither too tart nor sweet. Brunswick stew was almost a puree and I would have preferred a little chunkier but still had great flavor.
