The Blue Taco

I stopped by this afternoon for a quick lunch. What I witnessed was a compassionate and caring owner. The customer before me was clearly homeless. But the owner treated him with the same respect and dignity of every other patron. It is this level of kindness that the world needs. This act, coupled with the diverse menu of delicious tacos and rice bowls will keep me a patron for years to come. I look forward to the next time I forget my lunch at home so that I may again enjoy your delicious offerings. Continue to be a bright light in this world.

I love this place. The first time I was a little disappointed because they ran out of the blue shells but the flavors more than made up for it. I always have to try a couple different things. I think the Asian is my favorite so far but the sauce is sweet, so some might not like it. I also like the Cuban with pickled honey mustard. I like that you can pick the meat on most. The pork belly is always good. You can also get a bowl which is in a styrofoam container with rice instead of a shell and about the equivalent of 3 tacos. Everything is a good fusion of flavors. I wish that they were open longer that 11-2 (no weekends) but if you watch their Facebook page occasionally they are open late.

They're good by fast food standards, I guess. They do offer interesting choices, I should say...But, flavors often get muddled with "too much going on," and they should cut back on the salt. Last time I was there felt like I was eating a salt lick. The traditional tacos are decent but nothing to write home about. Wish there were better salsa choices. Customer service is good though, that's why I give a higher rating. Food isn't bad, but not great either. It's decent.

They didn't have the first three things that I ordered from the menu. The first was a salad that had strawberries in it but she said they were out of it because the fruit wasn't in season but I could literally see the strawberries in their fridge behind the counter lol then still no to the next couple of things I wanted and then I got an elote chicken taco which was great but the pork belly taco was not. I had heard such good things about this place but my experience was a little disappointing. I will give them a second chance another day maybe I just hit a bad day. It happens.
