One of the Iconic places of Kolkata. One of the Oldest Theatre in the City, so much nostalgia feeling while watching the Bengali movie with the full house family audience. Must visit place with Family.

Very good AC cinema hall at low ticket price. Cinema hall and toilet are clean. One male and female toilet available at stall. Several toilet available at balcony.

Recently watched the movie "Animal" at the Star Theater, and despite the aging venue, the experience was nostalgic and charming. The film itself was enjoyable, but the historical significance of the Star Theater, coupled with personal memories from my childhood in the area, made it a truly special trip down memory lane. A piece of local history that adds a unique touch to the movie-going experience.

I visited this hall on 25.12.2023 to watch the movie Dunki. It was a quite good experience. This hall comes with a better experience in the budget of 150. The hall is neat and clean with a pretty good air conditioning system. Seats are comfortable.

The first cinema I went to when I was a child and watched a movie was in this Star Theatre.
I have so many nostalgia with this theatre.
Obviously good sound quality, comfortable seats, good picture quality but a little dark.

It is an age old theatre now converted into a cinema hall. Tickets available at much lower cost. The picture and sound quality is good but the seat can be improved.

One of the best place to watch movies (Bengali, Hindi) out in North Kolkata near the Hatibagan and Shyambazar area. This place has good restaurants around it where one can hangout after movie. There are snacks corner inside the theatre also, previously it was a theatre but now used for movies. The hall is having HD Dolby sound system and the screen is also large enough. Online ticket systems are available for this. So if you want to watch movie in a good hall with good amenities around this is a perfect place for you.
Edit: the tower AC inside the halls are pretty cool enough that if by chance the hall is not so full in case of any movie then you will feel very uncomfortable specially in the rear stall section back part…so if you are reaching the hall with rear stall ticket at the back side in a movie which is not so full in that case it might be issue with many
