Frisch's Big Boy

On our way to Ohio, we always stop at Frisch's as they are not in Florida. I was shocked to see the Swiss Miss burger is no longer on the menu due to the brown bun shortage in the area. I was also put off by the huge increase in prices up about $2 per sandwich. They made us a Swiis Miss using their white bun which was not fresh and the main thing that we crave is the tartar sauce and one of our sandwiches had very little and was very dry. My wife could not eat the whole sandwich due to the dryness. I will not be going to Frisch's unless the quality and value improve. You can get a better meal at a lower cost at other nearby restaurants.

We'd been there once b4 so we knew it was really good. We ordered the same Big Boy burger, bc it's consistently great so why try something else, & I ordered onion rings for the 1st time. The burgers were perfect,as usual. The sweet potato fries & my onion rings looked a little dark, but tasted great & we ate everything. My coleslaw was probably from a big container shipped to the restaurant, but I was craving it, so that was ok with me. The salad bar looked great, as did the new fish sandwich, but frankly, we love the Big Boy burger so much, I'm not sure we'll ever order anything else

I hadn't been to a big boy in years (never a frish's). I was craving a slim Jim but apparently that's not a menu item. I got what I thought was similar but it was tiny and on bad doughy bread. My friend ordered a big boy which wasn't very appealing either. On the plus side the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Seems to be the corporate side that is the issue.
