La Carreta

Honestly a little disappointed for my first time here. The drinks were just okay. My strawberry daiquiri tasted more like straight up strawberry soda than anything alcoholic. I got the carnitas as my taco option and they were extremely dry—no amount of sauce could get me passed my first taco. The beans were a little spicy, it threw me off initially but it was a pleasant surprise. The rice was yummy. The chips and salsa were my favorite items of the night, they were delicious. The service was okay, it was a busy night and the kitchen was struggling to keep up. My group wasn’t starving so it wasn’t a big deal for us to wait almost an hour for our food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and never had an issue. The food is absolutely amazing, if you can get it. For the last several months we have somehow gotten the same exact waiter and he has been just horrible. I don’t know why they keep him. Today was the last straw. We sat down and it took them 15 minutes just to take our drink order and food. We only ordered two items. The people behind us ordered after us and ordered about five items. We never got our food and I had to complain for my husband just to get his drink. About 10 minutes after they were served we left. We won’t be coming back. I’ve never been so disappointed.

NOT A Good experience. Guess we hit it at a bad time. 200pm on a Saturday. We had a difficult time getting drink, constantly being told give me a minute. We were not the only unhappy group. Another group having same hard time long wait and then meal not cooked as ordered. She refused her meal and asked for the check for their drinks. Then staff was not wanting to accept the customer wanted check then manager came .. lol. Al she want was her check no argument just the check. Last time I go back. There is Better Mexican up the street with better service.

It only gets 3 stars because the food was pretty good. Service was terrible. Waiter took our order then we never saw him again. A different server brought our food. I had to go find the waiter to even get our ticket to pay. When I asked him for it he reached over printed it off and handed to me with zero eye contact or communication. Needless to say, we will eat at a different Mexican restaurant as there are many available and much better service that this clown gave.

The menu looked good I ordered some street tacos, cheese dip and a chicken quesadilla. The staff was very friendly and the pricing was decent. The cheese dip and chips were good no issues. The steak tacos were dry and no garnish on them. Super disappointed on it The quesdilla was just a tortilla with some chicken lumped into it and cheese dip dumped all over the top of it. It was basically a large taco and wasn't even close to good. The business was very very busy so that might have been a factor.
