The Greenhills Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery

Excellent well-prepared food at very reasonable prices. Very friendly cheerful staff. The carvery, in particular, always has a good variety of freshly cooked vegetables which, together with the excellent beef, turkey and ham, all served on well heated plates, makes for a fine meal. We go there at least once a week and have done for years.

The carvery is always excellent quality food, the staff are friendly, except for the head chef with curly dark hair and black rimmed glasses who was exceptionally rude shouting and chundering as he walked past whilst our party were at the vegetable hot plates having just been served our meat. The chef definitely made everyone feel very uncomfortable, and put one of our party off their meal. She has dementia and was very anxious and worried that the chef was personally angry at her. The chef, Dave, who served us at the Carvery was really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The waitress who served us was so kind and apologised for the angry chef. (Incidentally, some of the party were in for an early dinner on Tuesday, he appeared to be in a similar disposition then too)... I would suggest that some staff training would be of use to the chef with curly hair.

The staff where extremely friendly and helpful. Food was very good, my son had the pizza and loved it. I had the fish and chips which was lovely and not greasy at all and we also got chicken wings and chilly cheese fries which were both delicious. The only reason I marked down a little bit from a 10/10 was the food took around 40 minutes to get to us when it was quite quiet. We didn't mind too much because the price was reasonable but other than this it was great. The San Miguel was lovely

The restaurant was lovely and warm. The staff were very attentive & the manager sorted out the £50 deposit that I had forgotten I 'd paid, when we inadvertently all paid for our meals separately! Prices are very competitive & food tasty. Thank you. The Ladies' toilets desperately need refurbished. They are cold & uninviting. The tap & the hand drier only issued cold water/air. The parking slots are too small for the size of todays' cars.
