The Londesborough

We had our wedding at the Londesborough last month, and we cannot express enough what an absolutely magical and unforgettable experience it was. From the moment we chose the Londesborough as our wedding venue, the team went above and beyond, we were amazed at the expertise, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication the team had throughout. We can honestly say the planning of the event was stress free and enjoyable, and a huge part of that credit goes to Amber and Greg! On the day itself, from the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly and attentive team who went out of their way to ensure every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. The food was outstanding, by far the best food we’ve had at a wedding and our guests are still raving about it, it’s clear that the chefs take pride in their work! The bar service was top-notch, with a wide selection of drinks ranging from beers on draft to delicious margaritas. After our meals and speeches, we had a live band followed by 3 hours of none stop dancing thanks to DJ Catfight. His music selection was spot on and kept the energy high throughout the night. Everyone from the youngest to the oldest had a blast on the dance floor thanks to him! The pub’s cozy atmosphere and beautiful garden created the perfect backdrop for an elegant, relaxed, and beautiful celebration. The day was meticulously orchestrated, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We highly recommend the Londesborough to anyone considering them for their special day. I recently visited this fantastic pub and had an exceptional experience. The combination of great food and a warm ambiance made for a memorable outing. Specifically, I dropped by for their renowned Sunday roast, and it exceeded my expectations. The flavors were absolutely delightful, and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere of the pub is another highlight. It exudes a cozy, welcoming vibe that's perfect for unwinding and socializing with friends. Although the pub isn't very large and the back area is often reserved for private parties, it never feels cramped. The clever layout and attentive staff ensure that everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable time. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend this pub to anyone seeking a delectable meal and a pleasant pub experience. It's a hidden gem that guarantees a delightful time, and the Sunday roast is a must-try! The Londesborough is a fantastic wedding venue. We had our wedding celebration there on 17 June 2023, and everyone who attended said that it was a wonderful day. The food was lovely (we had barbecue) and they really went out of their way to cater for everyone, with great vegan food. The atmosphere was perfect, and the organisation seamless. Amber was fantastic in helping us organise, as was Greg and all the staff. All our guests commented on how friendly the staff were, and how good the food was. We really had a great time, and thoroughly recommend it as a wedding venue. Thanks for a fabulous day.

We had our wedding at The Londesborough last month. From the planning, to the wine tasting, to the exceptional staff team on the day, we felt thoroughly cared for and looked after by Amber, Greg and everyone at The Londesborough. The venue was the perfect space for our 80 guests, plus the 10 more for dancing in the evening. Our guests raved about the food for days after (we had an all-vegetarian menu with lots of variety of dishes for guests to choose from on the day). Amber was super responsive and offered her advice and recommendations to help us think through our plan for the day. If you’re after a relaxed, London-pub wedding, look no further!

The first time I went, picture on the left, it was tasty and a lovely atmosphere but I was in a big group and I don’t feel the portion was as good as some others locally. The second time I went, picture on the right, for Mother’s Day. The lamb was perfection. Melt in the mouth. Service was also fantastic. Upgraded my review from 4 to 5. Will definitely be going back.

We had the most special day at the Londesborough for our wedding! It looked incredible and really festive with lights and a Christmas tree. All the staff ensured it all went seamlessly and left all the chaos to the guests! The food was delicious, special shout out to the haddock smoky and the Lamb! I would say it is the perfect size for around 80 guests and the lay out encourages people to hit the dance floor which we loved. Wish we could do it all again!
