Zayane

The food at Zayane is wonderful. Very good quality (delicious merguez). The couscous is great. Lovely bastilla too. The menu is changed at times so there are new items but sometimes they aren’t serving some favourites - it isn’t a problem as the food is always nice. Hard to find good Moroccan food in London but Zayane hits the spot. Great service too. Owner Meryem is very kind. I haven’t been in a few months but will be happy when I return and have a full stomach 👍🏼

Zayane certainly lives up to its recent designation of a L’Assiette Michelin, or Michelin Plate - the newly introduced award by Michelin which indicates "restaurants where the inspectors have discovered quality food". You'll be hard-pressed to find a better Moroccan restaurant in London that succeeds in faithfully presenting the authentic flavours of the region while at the same time unostentatiously modernising the cuisine where necessary. And our compliments to Chef Joe Mortell and proud mother Meryem for producing a dish as sensational as the lamb shank - a tagine which, we'd wager, might just be the best tagine in London! Fantastic and authentic cuisine. Amazingly warm atmosphere gifted by staff too, especially from the waiter. He served me with veritable alacrity and made me feel right at home from the moment I entered. Beautiful aesthetic all around - - from striking wall patterns to unusual ornaments which wholly compliment the Moroccan theme. Highly recommended for a complete restaurant experience.

Beautifully decorated restaurant. The location is great and not very busy (the restaurant). I order a mongtail fish which I must admit didn't enjoy at all. However, the lamb tagine has to be the BEST lamb I've ever had. Meat came off the bones as soon as I tucked into it. The flavours (some veg and Almond nuts) and spices were delicious. The portion for the lamb tajine is very generous unlike the monkfish tail. The host/owner (waitress) is an amazing lady who will make you feel very comfortable and enjoys a good conversation if you want to. Oh yea, it's also 241 with tastecard /meerkat! Happy eating

This is hands down the best restaurant on Golbourne Road. I visited with my family and we all, hands down, had the best meals we had had in months. The fish, the chicken, the lamb, the mouth watering spinach - each dish was its own perfect pallet of flavours and textures. Simply delicious. And then the deserts were mind-blowing. On top of that, we were hosted by the most wonderful woman - she was warm, kind and made our evening. She quickly became a firm favourite of my nephew - who is 1 - and she went above and beyond for us all. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is our new favourite place.

Delicious food that's well seasoned and very reasonably priced. My partner and I discovered this restaurant through Groupon, where we were met with an enticing offer that we couldn't resist. Usually, restaurants that are overblown and recommended by everyone seem to leave us quite disappointed, because the food is never as good as people say. I was hopeful that we'd have a good meal here when I saw the Michelin award, and safe to say, I left feeling incredibly satisfied and taken care of. Every dish was simple but mouth watering; there was not one dish I disliked. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. It definitely deserves more recognition. Overall, I'd say it was one of the best meals that I've had in London. Will definitely come back for more (sans discount voucher this time, because it's well worth every pence!)
