The Bakehouse

Absolutely amazing!! I found this bakery on Instagram prior to our arrival in the UK, and I was so excited for the pistachio croissants - they did not disappoint (I will dream about those until I fly back across the pond). The vanilla slices and rye bread cookies are phenomenal. Besides the excellent baked goods, I can’t speak highly enough of the service. We felt so welcome and were so well taken care of. I will tell everyone in Canada to visit here on their next trip to England.

I recently visited Bakehouse and overall, I had a great experience. The pastries and baked goods were all delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only issue I had was with the freshness of the mille feuille. While it was still tasty, it didn't quite live up to my previous experiences at Bakehouse where it was fresher. While the mille feuille wasn't as fresh as it could have been, the other offerings were all top-notch and more than made up for it. I give Bakehouse four stars and look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic shop, the ladies at the counter are friendly & great at recommending things based on your tastes. The coffee is wonderful & the choice of products is amazing. The freshly baked bread is fantastic, as was the apple tart & chocolate babka that I also ate. I'll be back to try many more delicious goods.
