Flat Iron

Been to Flat Iron numerous times, in many different locations. This review is to show gratitude and appreciation for the staff on James Street. Always on too of their game at the busiest of times. The flat iron steak with the truffled mac&cheese was delicious and its always what we go for. I can never have enough of the salad too. Its cheap and cheerful. For those that haven’t been, although not everyone likes it, the ice cream surprise at the end is always a nice touch!

First time ever coming to this place, and I really really enjoyed it. I came here with 2 of my friends, and I had the Flat iron steak, and green salad and it was incredible. I loved every bite. Emilia took care of us and she was great, super friendly and her team was wonderful. The atmosphere is electrifying and I’m absolutely going to come back here again! Thanks for the hospitality!

Reservations at different Flat Iron locations in London were proving elusive, but finally, a spot opened up at the Marylebone branch. What a stroke of luck! We ventured downstairs to the dimly lit basement, and from the moment we walked in, the ambiance was impressive. The service was fantastic, and the staff was accommodating, making our experience truly enjoyable. I loved the quirky touch of a popcorn cup on the table, adding to the unique experience. The cleaver for a knife was not just a utensil; it was a cool theme that added to the restaurant's character. Now, let's talk about the steak. It was cooked to perfection, and every bite was delicious. The steak selection might seem simple, but the Scottish Bavette stole the show - perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The chips were amazing, and the creamed spinach was refreshingly fresh. To top it all off, they handed us a mini cleaver token to redeem for free ice cream at the end of the meal. The best part? They gave us an extra token as a souvenir, simply because they overheard our American accents. That's the kind of thoughtful touch that makes Flat Iron Marylebone stand out. The price was £25 per person and included alcohol. Fantastic if you ask me! A memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return. If you get the chance, don't miss it!

We went to dine here with a friend, we tried our luck by just walking in, we were given a 45-mins waiting time as it was a busy (peak) period. I downloaded the Dojo app so we knew where we were on the queue. Got notified our table was ready after 30 mins. The atmosphere was great, lovely staff, and quite an enjoyable experience. We ordered the burger (it was incredibly delicious, hit the mark). Medium rare steak was superb, partnered with peppercorn sauce. The chips was also delicious. The ice cream dessert closed the loop. I can honestly say the prices are pretty much reasonable considering the prime location of this chain of restaurants. I must try the sirloin steak next time.

I went for lunch. Had the ribeye steak. Its like a fast food steak house. Food came really quick and was fairly simple. Steak was cooked well and chips were nice. Theres not a huge selection, only 3 sauces and a couple cuts of steak on the menu, but i guess that lends to its speed. For lunch or a nice quick meal would recommend. But its not really a 'fancy' steak house that i would take my wife for date night. That being said, it does what it sets out to do, and seems to have done it well.

Visited this Flat Iron branch at Marlyebone yesterday. Seeing as I traveled from far to meet up with some friends, I expected that I'd have a nice meal to go with that which I did except the steak we ordered were small in size. In their defense, though, compared to how much steak goes for in other restaurants that are not even in Central London, I must say that their steak size is commensurate with the price they're charging. They charge £20 for sirloin and rib eye steaks each, and they charge £13 for their flat iron steak. So when you see that the steak size is small, you can understand the price. One downside for me is that they only have steak and burger on their menu as the main dishes. There are no options for other types of dishes. So if all you need is steak or burger, then you're good. The upside to that is that their menu is streamlined. There is not too much going, which is great. The waiter was really nice as well. My friend got given ice cream as a consolation since she wasn't happy about the size of her steak. I like the popcorn they give you while you wait. They don't do desserts, or at least there were no desserts on the menu they gave us.
