Disney Studio Store & Ghirardelli Soda Fountain

Street is quite dirty to be honest. The street is always crowded with tourists and beggers. Don't take pictures with the ones who wear costumes since they threaten you giving them money after taking pictures with them. Also don't take the CDs from fake artists, they beg for money if you take the cds. I took a CD out of curiosity and it's not even real music but just trash. If the weather is nice it's nice to view the street from top of the mall.

Oh boy this place is great to beat the heat on a hot day to get a rich chocolate milkshake. Interesting how they combined some Disney store items with the Ghirardelli. Loved the chocolate lovers shake, not too sweet but still the perfect amount of richness from the chocolate as well as the perfect melt in your mouth milkshake consistency. Menu didn’t include much and it was kinda pricey for a small milkshake but if you wanna splurge in Hollywood it is the way to go.

Love this place and I think it’s a must for Disney fans visiting the area. I usually come by for the Pin Trader Delight pins and sundaes or stop by if I’m seeing a movie at the El Capitan next door (also highly recommend for Disney lovers). The staff is always very friendly and I’ve always gotten great sundaes and coffee. Cute merch is a bonus, they usually feature merchandise for whatever big Disney/Marvel/Star Wars film is playing next door. They also have lots of Disney pins unique to this specific location and Los Angeles.

Ghirardelli chocolate goes without saying that it is one of the best premium chocolates out there. Now you can find their chocolates in your local city. My visit here was brief but I had enough time to take in the scene. I love how the walls are decorated with Mickey and his friends style poster prints one of which was similar to what I had seen in Mickey and Minnie's runaway railroad. What sets it off as unique is that it is also known as the Disney studio store. Some of their own pins and pin trading events are held here. They also have an extensive collection of Disney souvenirs. Their featured dessert is the Magical Sundae. It is made with hot fudge over vanilla ice cream and then covered with sprinkles and topped with hand dipped in chocolate waffle ears. So yummy! Located next to the El Capitan theater on Hollywood Blvd.

Made my own 3 scoop plus hot fudge for my visit, makes more sense if you wish to skip the whip cream and the vanilla ice cream (most default items have it). Only bad thing is that the waffle cones and cones are not crispy, and not chocolate dipped. Ask for an additional serving of chocolate dip if they offer you plain waffle and cone.

SWEET Experience! It’s always a delicious delight to visit the Ghirardelli Store! It’s a magical store with chocolate galore, lining almost every wall! You can purchase hot cocoa, mini-chocolate bars, chocolate fusion treats (ex. Raspberry Chocolate, caramel chocolate and much more!), Disney x Ghirardelli Collectibles and merch! Don’t forget to stop by the chocolate bar which serves all kinds of desserts 🍨 including Ghirardelli milkshakes, seating (tables, counters) are available for semi—large groups! The staff is always super sweet and the lady I got at the cash register was so personable and polite! I love to visit every time I visit the Walk of Fame. Side note: This location is right next door to the Disney’s El Capitan theater. You can probably watch a movie and then hop on over for some dessert afterwards!
