Lovely pub/restaurant situated next to river, and looking up towards rooftops of Ludlow. Friendly, helpful and very professional staff. Lots of people eating at the pub the evening we ate there, but we had excellent service, and weren't kept waiting for anything. They set a table especially for us, as we had a dog with us, who wasn't allowed in the main restaurant. We had an excellent meal. My husband said the cheese souffle he had as a starter, was the best he had ever had , but all the food was delicious. You probably need to book if you don't want to be disappointed though, as it does get busy.

Read about this place in the Estrella Top 50 Gastropub Awards and it did not disappoint. Lovely table in the bar area overlooking the river. The food and service were perfect. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. All 3 of us very happy with our choices. The Fish & Chips was one of the very best I’ve ever had. As a fellow pub owner I was very very impressed. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re up in this part of the world.

Lovely venue, great views over the river and towards the castle. We didn’t eat on this occasion but it was impressive the menu is based on produce availability. The only fly in the ointment was the staff appeared to be taken aback when we asked to see a menu. We seemed to put them on guard as we were having a look at the, empty, restaurant. We were thinking of making a group booking based on its reputation for food but the attitude of the staff has meant we will consider other venues now.
