A Fan's Notes

A place easy to get to via the 96 tram serving large affordable portions of vegan (and non vegan food) comfort food in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff. A beautiful quaint courtyard and also a record store out the back. Free live music occasionally and events. One of my favourite spots in Melbourne.

The food is delicious, big, comes out quick and is great value. Casual, cosy atmosphere, feels like a local hang out, you often see the same faces in there. Decor is a bit shabby and eclectic, which just adds to the atmosphere for me. The service is fine but don't expect it to be super attentive like a fancy restaurant-it's just not that kind of place. I love it.

Update! No longer a coffee or breakfast joint, but the greatest dive that exists north of the Alexandra Pde divide. Serving up some of the best grub at an incredible price point with really excellent options for vegans and vegetarians. Not to mention the endless YouTube party featuring often brilliantly obscure (to some) music. The staff are great but take no sh*t, so just respect ya hospo team and you'll be right.
