Starbucks

Never had a problem at this store before today. Went in to grab a small cup of coffee. The girl with colored haired showed signs of agitation ,eye rolling and lack of courtesy. No acknowledgement of mistake and showed utter disregard by ignoring my question and speaking over me. It’s not the coffee it’s the lack of professionalism and the fact they felt so comfortable disrespecting a customer that is disturbing

This location has been down hill as of late. Service is subpar, and some of the staff is rude. And the time it take to get your coffee borders on absurd. Also; you order a basic hot coffee and the person running the register is so lazy they put you in the line for a specialty drink. So instead of taking 20 seconds to get a regular cup of coffee it take 5-10 minutes at times. Crazy

It's sbux. Way too expensive. Poorly paid staff and it shows. However, if you want consistency in a drink this is the place. The exception would be hot soy beverages. Burn the soy every time regardless of the location. Better training on proper streaming for non dairy drinks is needed. I've learned. Get iced if you're ordering a non a dairy hot drink.

This is the worst Starbucks ever! How are you closed on Tuesday’s but sitting in the dinning area eating Wendy’s near the windows. They don’t even have a sign that says they are closed on the door and when they see you walking up to the door they don’t even bother to let you know they are closed. They just turn their head the other way like they didn’t see you. For a place that’s so expensive they have awful customer service! They claim they are short staffed but when I come here there’s always 10 employees with most workers just walking around and talking. They walk right past the customers who are waiting to order and the poor girls who are busy non stop making drinks are trying to take orders and fulfill them.

*edit/add, dropped to 1 star* seems like they are never open anymore, regularly closing early. You can't see their posted sign from the street either so you're forced to park and walk up. Is not even much of a gamble anymore, arrive after 1:00 and they are likely closed. The A/C is being pushed to the limit! I thought it was just a hot day phenomena, but months later it's still got to be in the mid to low 60's in here. I suspect It may be a plot to keep people from sitting inside. There is really just one table and bar seating, so not the best interior setup anyway. There is a good patio area with lots of seating and a garden though. Modified hours have it closing very early. Like most coffee places in the area, don't plan on getting late afternoon coffee in Newport.

Very limited hours due to staffing shortages. If you want to place a mobile order, you have to verify that they are accepting mobile orders because on the days when staffing is limited, you can only order in person. This is a bummer for me as I seem to always be in line behind that person who can't make up their mind and wants to chit chat while the rest of us wait. Co-located in the shopping plaza with Shaws, parking is shared with other businesses in a busy lot. Pay attention which way you exit as you may be limited in the direction you can turn along East Main Road. Inside of store is stocked with branded items and grab and go options. They do sell out of salads quickly and often don't have inventory to restock. Faced with supply shortages, some drink options are unavailable until they get deliveries. The staff working here are nice but being the only Starbucks in Middletown you get familiar with those who frequent and everyone wants to catch up when the lines seem to be the longest. There is no drive-thru here so you'll have to park and come in. Overall, I prefer this location as the Newport location is a parking nightmare and tiny. Hopefully, as they hire more people the wait time will improve. They do prepare my drink order to my liking and that goes a long way.
