Saffron

We stopped in as our first dinner spot visiting from Atlanta. The restaurant is open very late and you can dine up until 8:45 PM. They close about 9:30 PM. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing as we are a Vegan family and they had quite a few vegan options. We will stop by in the future to try the Buffett. We suggest this place if you are looking for vegan friendly options.

First visit to Saffron and food and service was great! 👉🏽 I loved my butter chicken. It's a dish I'm familiar with and enjoy. 👉🏽 The lamb, though tasty, wasn't a hit for me or my date. 👉🏽 The dishes were a tad sweeter than I anticipated. 👉🏽 The cauliflower appetizer is a must as well as the chicken bite appetizer. I'll definitely go back for the buffet to try more dishes. Also, we sat by one of the owners and he kindly shared a few dishes with us. That made the visit all the more enjoyable.

Date Visited: June 28, 2022 Cleanliness: Saffron Indian Kitchen had a 75 health score. The floor was a little slippery. The bathroom could be cleaner, maybe remove some of the plants or art and make it simple, minimal, and new. Also the bathroom should have something where I can open the door without touching the door knob, like a foot door opener so we can prevent bacterial growth and keep our hands clean. There were a few flies flying around another table but not near me. They should also not leave cups already set on the table because who knows if customers could have touched them and they are open to dust and germs from the air. They should only put them out when they are ready to be used. Atmosphere: I liked the theme of Indian and felt comfortable. The art and decorations were nice. Food: The food was delicious and they had some vegetarian options. Service: The waiter was nice and took care of me! Cost: I paid 17.58$ for the lunch buffet. It used to be around $15 but I understand rising costs and the need to up the price. Overall: I enjoyed the restaurant and would come back.

We had a lunch buffet there on Sunday. Price is a bit high, consider we came from Atlanta, GA. The food is VERY DELICIOUS. No doubt about that. The meat is cooked to the right spot; it is so tender, but there is no redness inside. Very juicy. They used much spice on their cooking. We will definitely go back to the restaurant if we are visiting Montgomery again.
