Royal Indian Cuisine

Royal Indian Cuisine has a vast menu of north Indian, south Indian, and street food. Some of the dishes we tried were excellent. Ambiance needs some serious attention, though. First the good - we tried a couple of appetizers, a Dahi Batata Puri (pictured) which is a typical north west Indian street food, and Chili Fish. Both were excellent. Dahi Batata Puri hit the right combination of tangy, crunchy, and sweet. The Chili Fish was the right amount of spicy, and the fish cooked just tender, and not overcooked as happens at many Indian restaurants. For entrees, we tried Vada Pav, which was also very good. Service was very courteous and fast, as well. Next, the not-so-good - the other entrees we tried were a Masala dosa, and a cheese dosa from the kids menu. The cheese dosa bordered on inedible, and my daughter was done after the first bite. The masala dosa, though not as bad, was not too much better. The dosa itself was flavorless, oily, and cold. Accompanying coconut chutney and rasam helped the dosa a bit, but I ended up eating it with my chili fish. For dessert we had Gulab Jamuns, which were microwaved before being served, and just OK. We will certainly go to Royal Indian Cuisine again - the appetizers and chat were excellent, and merit repeat visits.

It was okay. I've had way better Indian food from other places before. The service is judt okay as well. It was extremely hot inside when we visited. It was unbelievable. I am not sure if it is always like that, but it was really really hot and very uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to finish eating so I can get out of there. It was summer, and was hot outside but it was still better outside. It might not always that hot, maybe they were having problem with the a/c, who knows, they didn't say anything even though everyone was complaining. We probably won't be back.

let me just say this "OHHH WOW!" this Indian gem of a restaurant is delicious, everything we ordered was fresh and exquisite. Let me start by saying I am married a fantastic 31 year old with a 6 year old palate and he totally enjoyed his meal, I am so proud of him for getting out of comfort zone and exploring with me a little bit more. To start off we ordered two appetizers the Chicken Pakora which looks like "chicken tenders" covered in a tempura like batter with spices sprinkled on top, this appetizer was great for my husband who doesn't like to try new things since it was something familiar to him with a small twist. The second appetizer was the Samosa Chaat, honestly have no idea how to describe this but i can tell you it was so yummy and fresh, my hubby said it reminds him of pico de gallo with sweet potatoes (it does not have sweet potato in it lol) and small crunchy noodle flakes. For our main course we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Cury and Chicken Makhni and of course we had to order some Naan bread this will be the vehicle for your food to travel into your mouth, honestly whats the point of a fork when you have Naan. all the dishes was amazing we made sure to order mild because I truly enjoy savoring the different spices maybe next time we will kick it up a notch with our spicy level but this time mild was perfect for us. Like I said before, my hubby is super picky and he ate all of it! and said he would definitely be going back for more. I know i jumped straight into the food but Oh my God it was good! However, I can't finish this review without mentioning the staff and how incredible we were greeted by the host/waiter he was fantastic, he made us feel right at home and always had a smile of his face. I believe they are a family owned restaurant because the way he was so attentive to us made us feel like we were part of his family and like he truly cared about our experience.
