Golden Fleece

Hello, I came in yesterday with a friend and I wanted to let you know we had THE BEST service from one of your bar people. They were so lovely, attentive, caring and wonderful. I didn't catch their name but we went there around 2ish for food (which I want to add was incredible, some of the most delicious vegan food I've ever had). Please can you pass on our thanks to your staff who were in yesterday, we really did have the best experience! Xx

I've been to the Golden Fleece a few times for drinks and this was the first time I'd been for a meal. The food was amazing - I had the fajita burger & kimchi fries. Anyone would enjoy the food here, whether vegan or not. They also always have a great selection of drinks and a welcoming / warm atmosphere.

I've had many meals at The Golden Fleece in the past, catered by The Prickly Pear. This was the first time that we tried the Sunday Roast dinner. We were not disappointed! I had the crispy 'pork belly', and my mate had the roast 'beef'. It was outstanding! We were both extremely impressed with the quality of the food! The gravy was the best I've ever had! I'm not sure what goes into it or how it's made, but it was fantastic!! The only downside was that I could have done with just a little bit more in the small jug that came on the plate. All the food served is vegan, which might put some people off. I'm lucky, in the sense that I can eat all 3 types, meat, vegetarian, and vegan food. My mate is a vegetarian, so whenever we have vegan, I can tell him if it tastes like 'meat' or not. I prefer to eat vegan food whenever I can, as the taste and flavours are so much better. I couldn't be a full-time vegan, too much time reading checking labels, etc, when shopping, but when I eat out, I always make a point of trying vegan. If there are any meat eaters reading this, please do try a vegan meal sometime. It opens up a whole new menu choice! If you want to try a vegan meal for the first time, what better place than the Golden Fleece on Mansfield Road. They've never failed to disappoint me in the past.

Great food, friendly people, lovely place. We came here because we were looking for a place for a vegan lunch. After having a quick Google, this was one that had an entirely vegan menu! If we are ever around Nottingham again, we will definitely be back!! It was delicious! They also have a good gluten free selection.

The menu here is vegan, similar to many cafes and bars in the area, and I can't confess to being a huge fan of vegan alternatives. However, I did enjoy it here. The seitan was nice and was quite a pleasant alternative to meat. Decent meal for a decent price and a good range of pints and other drinks on tap. A pleasant surprise.
