Magically disappearing pizza i brought home a whole pie and my kids totally devoured it literally seconds after i got home. For $8 a pie i will get 2 next time and hide the second one. all kidding aside i love the Pizza thin crust and tangy sauce and the large windows to see the fresh pies being made.

I placed an order for a Sicilian pie, an everything pie & an order of mac & cheese bites at 7:15 on Grub Hub. At 7:30 I got a message that my order was cancelled. I called Gencarelli's & they said that they weren't taking Grub Hub orders. I then placed my order with the girl who said it would be 30 minutes. My husband went to pick it up at 8:05. They said they still needed to make the mac & cheese bites, ok, he was willing to wait a few more minutes but it turns out that they never even started the order! By 8:30 people were coming & going, picking up their orders but ours wasnt finished til 8:45!!! All that time waiting (1 hour & 15 minutes from when we ordered & 45 minutes of the man actually standing in the place) and they never even offered him a soda! To top it off, the Sicilian pie was so thin, more like a Grandma pie & ridiculously saucy. If I wanted a Grandma pie, I would have ordered one. Never, ever will I order from them again. In a town full of pizzerias there's no reason to go back to a place that's is do uncaring of their customers! .

If you're a New Yorker living in North New Jersey, you have to check these guys out! Besides bring a favorite among locals, their pizza reminds me of the classic slices I get in NYC. And just like some of those NYC joints, it's only $1a slice. They have a walk up window and outdoor seating where they'll bring your food out after you order. I always stop by for a couple of slices when I'm in the area. Delivery also available.

Pizza is great but I can’t say the same about the service. After waiting 30 mins for 6 slices and an order of mozzarella sticks not sure who the guy was but he was as rude as they come. He proceeds to tell me he’s doing another pie (after the young lady comes to me and says my order will be done in 2 mins), I tell him how long I’ve been waiting for and he has the nerves to say “what do you want me to do” when I asked for a refund because I could not wait any longer being that I was on my 30 min lunch break he takes the money out the register and throws it on the counter. If you lack customer service you should not be behind any counter serving anyone!!! If the order was for me I would not care but the fact 3 little kids were waiting to eat and this is how you are treated is unacceptable. NEVER AGAIN!!

Good pizza, Horrible service.... Understand lunch time is busy but when paying with credit card, old man was visibly upset then proceeded to throw my card on the counter. I mean seriously?!? When I asked why he did that, no response. Simply walked to the back. That's never a way to treat customers.

Update: 2-14-09 My daughter went in tonight with an acquaintance and the recognized her. He proceded to bad mouth me for writing a bad review. He told my daughter that I was lucky that he kept his composure. So not only is he unprofessional, he threatens customers who had a bad experience. And he does so to minors. Ordered on the phone, told 25 minutes. Get there and my daughter goes in to get the food. 20 minutes later I go in to see what is happening. Told by owner that it will be another 7-10 minutes until the Calzone is done. When I confronted him about the time, he told me he said 40 minutes. I told him he said 25 and his response was he would rather have me wait 30 minutes than complain that it was cold. Asked for my money back and was told no my food would be done soon. Only gave me my money back after I kept complaining in front of other customers. I have never gone to a pizzeria and had to wait another 30 minutes. Will NEVER go there again.
