Lains Barn

Wow, where do I start! There are not enough stars to review Lains! Lains was the first venue we visited (2hrs from our home) and we fell in love there and then! We first met Martin, who kindly gave us the tour and talked all things weddings! He made us at ease straight away... and even though a businessman, he did not come across this way at all. He was kind, friendly, caring and nothing was too much trouble for him! We never felt any pressure from the venue, they were so considerate throughout the whole process. Martin was on call to answer any questions and was always considerate, caring and kind. Rachel was an amazing events coordinator and the staff at Lains were also amazing. Katie was on hand during the day and made sure the day went seamlessly. We had quite a few complex dietary requirements, and all of these were catered for. One of our guests who has been to many high-end restaurants stated that she had never been looked after so well before. She was able to have all food at all parts during the day and said she couldn’t have been looked after any better. The food was amazing and tasted delicious! As stated before, NOTHING was too much trouble for the team. Martin and Barbara are the nicest people you will ever meet, and there is a real family vibe to the whole team. I cannot recommend Lains Barn enough. The service, the people, the venue, the quality is top of the range and they could not have given us a better day!! An excellent family run business that instantly make you feel genuinely welcomed. You can see amongst all the staff that they love what they do, Martin and Barbara's kind attitudes clearly shine through their hardworking team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We got married here in October 2023. From the first meeting to view the barn, we fell in love with it and decided very quickly it would be our venue. We wanted a countryside rustic feel with exclusive use of the whole area and Lains Barn ticked all the boxes. Martin and Barbara (owners) were really friendly and accommodating throughout. Katy, the wedding Co-ordinator, was so attentive and helpful throughout. She made the whole day run to perfection. It felt difficult not being able to have a tasting on the wedding food. However, we needn’t have worried. The food (roast dinner and pizzas) was outstanding. All our guests were commenting on how delicious it was. All in all, we couldn’t have been happier and would whole heartedly recommend Lains Barn. Big thank you to them all!

We had our wedding reception at Lains Barn at the beginning of September and we couldn't fault a thing. The staff were accommodating from the moment we booked and went above and beyond to make our day go smoothly. Rachel was our point of contact when organising and responded so quickly to all emails. Katy was our Events Manager on the day and was so calm and kind, I knew we were in safe hands. Thank you to all at Lains Barn. We've had nothing but compliments about our day and received so many compliments on the beautiful venue and setting.

AMAZING!! We couldn’t be happier with our wedding day at Lains Barn…..it was genuinely perfect!! We were made to feel so special by all the staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us confidence from the moment we booked and all the way through to our reception. Food was delicious and the venue itself….wow!! The layout and set up is perfect and really helped all our guests feel included and mingle. The barn is beautiful and already well dressed saving us serious time and money in decorating!! We really felt that every single member of staff work there because they like to make people happy. They really wanted to help us make our day just how we wanted it and, unlike a lot of other venues, are not just in the wedding game to make money! Couldn’t fault a thing……..pick here and you won’t regret it!!

We booked Lains Barn for our wedding on the 31st March 2023 and I can honestly say it was the best decision we have ever made. From our first visit to the barn, through the whole run up to the wedding, the team were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for them - from finding us a new date when we needed to pull the wedding forward six months, accommodating our request for a South African braai menu and for helping us navigate the torrential rain on the day. They really were brilliant. We fell in love with the barn at first sight and everything about our wedding day just reinforced what a lovely venue it is and what a great family runs it. Thank you for making our day so special!

If you're considering Lains Barn for your wedding venue, do it! We had the most wonderful wedding day (5.11.22). Rachel, Katy and their team are amazing at what they do. Rachel was always fast to reply and on hand if ever we needed to chat anything through - and Katy ran our day seamlessly. The venue is stunning and the food was delicious too. We had the duck menu and guests from France said it was nicer than restaurants they'd eaten at at home! Thank you so much to everyone at Lains Barn - we had a perfect day! Such a beautiful venue which is incredibly well run. The Lains staff created a seamless occasion and everything ran so smoothly on the day. Katie was incredible and put us both at ease throughout the day! The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. We had the perfect time and could never have imagined getting married anywhere else. Thank you!
