Big Bowl

Noodle Bowl is a nice find in Oxford. It serves good and tasty food at a reasonable price. While visiting the Ole Miss campus, I searched Asian food in the area and found this place. I came on a Sunday night for a green curry shrimp. For 13 dollars, I got 10 big pieces of shrimp mixed in a delicious Thai curry sauce. I gulped down the meal with a beer. I had to come back in, and so I went back for their lunch special. I was again very satisfied with their 8.95 lunch special. It’s definitely a good place for good people indeed.

This was my first time eating at Noodlebowl. And this is why I am glad I don't live in Oxford, MS. The Szechuan crispy beef is fabulous. Just the right amount of spicy that after you eat you're still sweating for 30 minutes, but not overly hot or smack you in the face hot. And flavorful to boot. Absolutely addicting. I would be a faithful regular if I could eat this every day. I will return for that. The braised beef noodle soup was good as well, but not what my pallette was craving today. Nevertheless, for a hearty beef soup it was tasty. Will get another time. The plain fried rice was good as well.

We have been here twice now and the food was excellent both times. The hot and sour soup is deeper brown than other places with a rich flavor. The General Tao chicken had lots of wonderful sauce and my wife said it was very good. I had the Thai spicy basil chicken extra spicy and it was also very good. They actually made it spicy which seems to be a challenge for so many restaurants of this type. The chicken had a good basil flavor without it taking over the dish. We will drive from Southaven, MS just to eat here!

They are very fast in getting your food out. Great choice if you don't have time to wait. Prices were reasonable too; dinner entrees for $10. The quality of the meat wasn't great though. There was a lot of filler in my sesame chicken, as well as some chicken parts I didn't care for (veins, etc.). Panda Express has much tastier sesame chicken as well. Coupons can be found in the paper ads sent out in the mail, making it a pretty good deal though for a sit down restaurant.

Amazing place!! I never would've guessed this place was so good, but the workers are so nice and the food quality is actually amazing. One of my favorite places, I love the pepper steak and the quality has only gotten better since I first moved to Oxford a couple years ago. The sushi is amazing too, and overall it has a nice atmosphere.
